Had to find the cash to upgrade Walsh from 400/600k to 1.2m+ (fair enough, he’s probably going to be the best player in the game soon). Mam and Cobbo were/ are also due massive upgrades and then we have jrs like Black and Mozer that we need to keep. Zero reward for jr development from the nrl doesn’t really help.

The mam upgrade is what I think will bite us. Watching Mam vs both halves from NZ tonight who are on probably half his wage combined was embarrassing.

Who decided Staggs was the man over Herbie? Can't make meters out of our own end to save himself, just gets held up and pushed back. Cobbo and Arthars are the only backs who don't get pushed back consistently which I don't think is good enough for the modern game. Even with everyone fit, we'd probably be a 5th-8th team.

Our roster just doesn't seem well balanced and the guys who were meant to start coming into their own are not. I wonder what Ben Ikin's recruitment and retention strategy would have looked like compared to what we've ended up with.

Herbie was out of contract and Kotoni wasnt. If they both came off contract at the same time, i'd have kept Herbie.

We have always prioritised flashy players over metres gained and workrate which absolutely blows my mind considering it's been the meta since 6 again was introduced. Just look at the Panthers and now the Bulldogs, Gould figured this shit out a while back.

He had a massive platform in the second half. We dominated possession and the middle for 15 minutes and scored a try. Next set he runs the ball on the 5th instead of kicking and building pressure and they score off the back of it. Probably the dumbest play from a half ive seen since madden kicked on he first tackle a few weeks ago.

This is it, our forwards are terrible, the loss of an Origin front rower in Flegler and also Palasia who Is no mug has crippled us, Baker has been an absolute flop and Jensen just isn't a starting prop good for big minutes. Not sure what the answer is there!

4 weeks in a row, there has been no resilience in our attack nor there’s any intent/enthusiasm in our defense. I
t’s a disgrace allowing opponents to play in our half every game in the last 4 weeks.

Knowing that Warriors would turn out with intent, we weren’t up to the task. Too many players who don’t belong in the 17 are included.


We do have injuries but there hasn’t been any smart thinking from coaching perspective. 2 byes and n a short span and utter garbage & dumb plays from the team with no accountability. Absolutely hate this.


How can rep players be guaranteed rest during Origin period at the start of the season? Are we sure that we would be in the top 4 during Origin period? If so, we overestimated ourselves and poor planning.

The most glaring issue is, our recruitment and retention has been very poor and the biggest concern going into 2025 is, there appears to be no signings coming our way.

We would have 4-6 top 30 spots next season and we need to work real hard to find and fill those spots. I wonder with the way we been going lately, will any worthy players willing to come? Do we have decent coin to throw at them?

It appears that Cartwright & Breirs(?) have their foot out of the door and already looking out. In addition to player recruitment, there appears to be no efforts to bring in support coaching staff. If there are works in the background, I would love to hear them fairly soon.

DD, you need to roll up your sleeves and demand from them layers and coaching staff mate.

We’ve just been smashed with injury, nothing has gone our way and we’ve been playing poorly. A disappointing result but not unexpected with how we’ve played this season. Very few of our players are in top form as well
