1. Darius Boyd - I was actually quite impressed with him tonight. He was safe as houses under the high ball, ran hard to return the ball and was visibly barking orders in the huddle. Here's hoping he's turned a corner. 7
2. Jonus Pearson - Returned from a long absence from 1st grade and thankfully left the ice skates at home. His big hit in defence in the first half was a bell ringer, he ran hard all night with zero errors and scored a great try in the 2nd. Very happy for him but he's got some heated competition in the backline. 7
17. Kotoni Staggs - What a find this guy has been. So far he's had 2 very good games with solid performances in between and he still stood out despite being gone early. By all rights he should be a starter. 8
4. Jordan Kahu - I loved his tip on for Pearsons try but considering his overall form and the traffic jam of backline talent we're dealing with, it's getting hard to find a spot for him. Should be replaced by Staggs but we know Bennett will pick experience first. 6
5. Jamayne Isaako - He's the Dally M rookie of the year and at this point it's beyond argument. He doesn't seem to have much pace in open field but he knows how to do a kick return and his goal kicking is beautiful to watch. By seasons end he'll be one of only 8 players in the history of the comp to score 150+ points in his rookie year. 9
6. Anthony Milford - Thaaaaat's better Milf. Ran the ball with more intent and his long kicking seems to be reaching an at least serviceable point. As long as he's scaring the shit out of the opposition, it doesn't matter if he doesn't score 3 tries a game. 7
7. Kodi Nikorima - Apart from giving away some lazy penalties in the ruck, I was actually pretty happy with him. Dare I say he even showed signs of good game management, kicking for touch at the end of sets when we already have an unassailable lead. 7
8. Matthew Lodge - Our best Prop of the game and that's saying a lot. Ran a tonne of metres, a lot of which post contact and defended like a machine. What more could you ask for from a number 8? 9
11. Alex Glenn - Admittedly did a pretty solid job covering the 9. His service was swift and he defended the ruck pretty well. Obviously not his position going forward but its nice knowing we have some options now. 7
10. Sam Thaiday - Seems to have gone up a gear since announcing his retirement. Ran and defended hard all game. Can't complain about anything really. 6
15. Tevita Pangai Jnr - Had a quiet first 30 minutes but as soon as he found his feet returning from injury, it was another quality TPJ performance. I can't wait to see where this guy is at another 50 games down the line. 7
12. Jaydn Su'a - In an all round quality front row performance across the board, I thought he had a pretty quiet night. The likes of Lodge, TPJ and Joe O overshadowed him a bit but his defence is some good shit. Another one who is gonna be an absolute gun with another 50 or so games tallied. 6
13. Joe Ofahengaue - Is quickly establishing himself as one of the form forwards of the comp. Consistency used to be his biggest issue by far and he's completely quashed it as a problem. Every game for the last 10 rounds he has at least been solid. He'll be wearing Maroon next year if Walters isn't brain dead. Very happy for him. 8
9. Jake Turpin - FINALLY, someone to start asking big questions of McC. A solid as **** debut in a tough position. His service was good, his defence was good. I'd have him as a regular on the bench straight away just to scare McC straight. 6
14. Patrick Mago - Made a couple of silly errors but otherwise he's not shaming himself. Happy to leave him as a bench forward at least until the end of the season but the competition for spots is hot. 5
16. Korbin Sims - Made a beautiful linebreak in the 2nd half only to ruin it by not passing to Milf who was supporting on the inside. He was the least impressive forward of the night but hardly terrible. 5
19. David Fifita - I can see what the hype is about with this kid. Finally a Fifita in the NRL we can cheer for. Him and Haas are gonna be the bench back bone of this side from next year onwards. 7
