The problem is with Alfie, we knew how to get around the park. Then we got Lockyer and it bought us 10 more years. SInce Locky, nothing, until Reynolds arrived and its all fallen apart again with him gone. We need a 7 and a plan for post Reynolds, pronto.

Now two games under .500 and will need to be two over to make the playoffs with only eight weeks remaining. Kiss it goodbye, folks. No September action this year.

Is there a reason Mozer or Paix can't get a run? Surely they offer more than Smoothly? Offers absolutely nothing in attack, Piax Mozer both wiill be quicker around the ruck, need some speed and xfactor from our backup 9.
Mozer will leave if he can't get a run, isn't highly regarded as the next Cam Smith?

I’m sorry but I am sitting here as happy with loss as you could be.

That is a team we can back, i could name half a dozen players who had their best games of the season. The focus and defence were there to give me confidence.

It’s Penrith, after the last few weeks a 50+ scoreline wouldn’t have been surprising but something has changed

Feel sorry for Oates. He was putting in all night on those carries just lost a few m of pace and acceleration.

He definitely tried hard.

I would categorise him as washed at NRL level.

A few years in the Super League is where he is at.

The Broncos lifted, but couldn't match the Panthers physically and eventually it took it's toll. It's just a shame that the game swung on a mid-field bomb that none of the Broncos were courageous enough to take.

If you ever go back and watch the 2024 Broncos, this would be a pretty fair sample. A few flashes of brilliance, but always playing off the back-foot and even when they set themselves up for a good defensive set they let themselves down. That was really disappointing from Carrigan to let Edwards run around him and go 20m like that.

Didn't think Penrith were all that great, but they didn't have to be to beat this mob.

He put his foot on the line in the forward pass try.
He blew 1 try when he had mam and someone else on his inside after a break and he opted to try and break the tackle rather than pass it.
The last one, any other winger in the game scores there. He's like someone running in stilts.
He ran through 3 separate tackles.

I don't care if we're playing Penrith or Wests Tigers, when you consistently make 20-30 metres on sets coming out of your own half, then concede 40+ in return, you're not going to win games. These guys just aren't fit or tough enough to grind out these games. Too many unnecessary errors (Cobbo going into touch) and weak defensive efforts. Our attack has been too reliant on individual brilliance, and has masked glaring issues under Kevvie's reign as coach. If we fail to make the 8, I don't think he'll be back, regardless of his contract situation

Decent effort, but they still don't get the little things right. Hold the ball, make your tackles. Get good line speed. Deadset shitty that Penrith seem to be able to go all night. We need their fitness team
Not just the fitness, the attitude. The team last year was hungry, they fought to win every moment in the game (they ran harder, hit harder, chased the ball harder etc.). The attitude is gone, they look soft and easily get bullied.
