Round 2 - Broncos Vs Storm Pre-Game Discussion & Team List

Not a big fan of Michaels playing centre. Matter of fact, I'd prefer winterstein/yow yeh on wings over Michaels just from what I saw last Fri. I know it's the 1st game of the season but he runs too sideways for my liking (for instance he did get taken out to the sideline and not even playing on the wing). Another good example of that is in the 1st wk of the finals a few yrs ago against Melb. Turner just ran around him and bullied him all afternoon. I think Turner scored 3 tries or something on him, Michaels got taken out to the sidelines 3 times or rather. They are about the same size too and Turner shat all over him. I know we had heaps of injuries on that day though!
 
After watching the storm and broncos trial, I can categorically say Falou will have to do something different. Not since Berrigan shut down Inglis in the 06' final have I seen such a talented player contained so well. Until I see the teams im tipping the storm as across the board they will have more experience.

Seriously, Michaels was shit on the weekend, but he could easily have had two tries....two dropped balls basically over the line. He'll get better.
 
The storm will win, easily IMO. I reckon we still have some cobwebs to shake off so we aren't quite up to beating Melbourne.
 
I have a feeling we'll get rolled. Inglis or no Inglis.

We were far too rusty last week, and Melbourne are just stupid good when playing us. Although I hope a few of the boys run out there to seek revenge for last year.
 
Yep. Thing about Melbourne is they very rarely have lapses during a game. They play very consistently for 80 minutes. The Broncos play in fits and starts, and can have 10-20 minutes of an absolute shocker. Melbourne can make you pay for that.
 
Did you see their wingers though? That's the weak spot of Melbourne's game. We just target them all night we should get a few points...our defence however.....
 
All I know is I am going to the game on friday night wooooot. My first game for over two years, so bring it on storm *fingers crossed and everything else* that we win though. :)
 
Didn't they initially say that Kenny's was a four week injury. I'm aware that being a physio, he'd know better than most, but that's a pretty quick recovery if the initial assessment was correct.

If he doesn't feel right, i really hope he doesn't risk it. It's only the second round, no need to take any big chances just yet.

Kenny's done this before. He's got injured, treated himself and been right much quicker. Probably unlike a lot of other players he'd respect the need for the rehab work and would do it meticulously.
