Let's just say I'm glad we played like the before the finals and not during
If we’re looking at resting guys surely Mam should be getting one. He’s had a great season so far but is only 19 years old. Same with tesi, can’t expect these rookies to maintain the intensity required for finals when even origin players get burnt out.A couple of things that were emblematic of our attitude towards this game - the decision to debut Mariner, while in itself certainly wasn’t a bad thing but the thinking behind it smelled of a team that believed this was a ‘cup cake’ spot to replace a bloke who’d been doing a sterling job and blood a rookie..
Also, Ezra Mam joining the crowd celebration after his try just stunk of a team that thought tonight’s win had been earned last Thursday at Commbank Stadium
Tesi has missed half the year and the games he had played, he only plays attack. He doesn’t need a rest but he needs to be dropped. If we’re looking at resting guys surely Mam should be getting one. Hope it was only that..however maybe a few other issues were exposed.in that Reynolds injury is still hindering his right side defence ..may need an old TC style minder outside him for a while . Also the new exciting TN and I M are showing their inexperience in attack with brain fart options at the wrong time. Put it down to natural enthusiasm..but other teams will make it hard for us for remainder of season if they keep wanting to do it all on their own off every play.Broncos just showed up thinking it was going to be easy....I guess that's a bit of a positive, some confidence for once, lol. Having a loss is not such a bad thing now, a wake up call to refresh your focus and see what else they need to work on could potentially end up being good.
Broncos could have won this rather easily if they were properly switched on though.
Spot on…the kid will be sensational but at moment a potential huge points leaker.needs to be fixed if we have high hopes for this year.Rocks and diamonds from Tesi, he was back to rocks last night. I like watching him when he's on but I'd still rather have TMM at the back.
Too much of an athlete, not enough of a footballer.
Happy with that also.Tesi has missed half the year and the games he had played, he only plays attack. He doesn’t need a rest but he needs to be dropped.
Give him to redcliffe
It’s my fault. This was the first time in a very long time I not only tipped the broncos but also put them in a multi. Sorry guys.I don’t think that there is a need to over-react this much. Teams have bad games, good teams and bad teams all have off nights for whatever reason. We looked lethargic and I dare say with the longer break we have had a bigger workload leading up to the finals.
Same here.I am embarrassed and sad. Imagine if I just turned up to work expecting everything just to happen and put zero effort in. I'd get sacked.
Absolutely abysmal performance. All the little things we have prided ourselves on this year we just didn't bother with tonight, zero kick pressure and slack kick chase. We didn't respect our opposition enough, we tried to go around them rather than through them.
The downsides to niu severely outways his somewhat threatening attack.
Now I've got to be depressed this week
Kevvie wouldn't be drawn into whether Te Maire would be recalled, but acknowledged it's potentially on the cards. My hunch is Tesi will keep his position.Rocks and diamonds from Tesi, he was back to rocks last night. I like watching him when he's on but I'd still rather have TMM at the back.

But I disagree strongly we didn't "turn up" as others are saying. I'm unhappy because the reality was the Tigers outplayed us. They turned up the pace like we usually do in the last quarter, but did it all game. Consequently, they also made loads of errors but we made more. They Bronco'd the Broncos.
It would be easy to blame it on Reynolds, Niu, Carrigan, Hoeter etc, but I put their errors down to being rattled by the pace. Had Reynolds not gone off I reckon we might've won. But not by the margin we were all expecting.
Selwyn returns next week, and maybe Te Maire and Tyson. TC can't be far away, and I see Albert Kelly is back training. But other than Selwyn, I don't see many changes. I don't think Selwyn would've won us that game.
Other than Deine looking like he's ready for NRL, I can't take a lot of positives from that game. It's one of those games you just want to forget.
I'm crediting the Tigers with the win. Job well done. Sucks to say it, but that's pretty much what happened.
The only comforting thought is Adam Reynolds doesn't have a lot of off-nights. But last night was one of them.
I think a real momentum killer for us was when Tualagi (?) tweaked a hammy tackling us and the ref immediately called time off: I can’t understand why he did that, we had their d line shot to pieces and he wasn’t even badly hurt, he just grabbed his leg for a minute. He got up and played on, but all momentum was killed. We didn't turn up mate, Reynolds puts in an incredible kick which ends up staying about a metre short of the dead ball line and the fullback was able to ruck it back into the field of play, that right there is the only thing you need to be looking at if you want to know whether or not we turned up.
They dragged us into the mud and beat us, it's pretty simple really. It was a pretty ugly game in the 2nd half, no real flow in the game, it felt like we'd make one strong carry then the ref would get tipped off he needed to pause the game to get a guy sent for a HIA and that was a constant theme while we were powering down the middle, we never really got a chance to make the most of it.
The NRL needs to do something about teams being offside blatantly at scrums too.
