POST GAME [Round 20, 2022] Broncos vs Wests Tigers

And you think TMM when he returns will be the reincarnation of Alex Jezelenko ?
We saw TMM drop bombs under pressure too .

Short memories ...
Drops bombs, ergo, he makes an attempt to catch them as opposed to letting them bounce because he does not want to engage with a contest for the catch. Your blind support of Tesi is admirable, your lack of willingness to acknowledge his faults undermines your credibility.

True. Same with Selwyn, whose track record in the wet is pretty horrendous. The difference being Selwyn will compete.

Tricky balance .
Tall guys good in the air . Less so off the ground .

He definitely wasn't, but I'm struggling to remember him ever playing 100% fit. He's always walking wounded.
He didn’t train all week, as he was struck down with the flu.

To me it looked like he was still feeling the effects of it. He should have been given the week off, get ready and come back and train ahead of the Roosters game.

He would hardly have been missed last night, even if the result was the same, but he would have been fresher for next week…

Hence the reason Souths didn't want to commit long term contract wise. I'm glad he is here and I am happy with his the terms of his contract. He has made this club relevant again and it is a good base to work from in the coming years.

But he is only a day to day proposition and that will never change. If he is 70% fit, then he has to play because he will never be 100% again. I'll take a 60-70% fit ARey over most #7's in the comp.

Thank goodness not every person on this forum doesn`t have their eyes painted on .
The 1st pass Tesi dropped I think was his fault . He took his eyes off the ball . The 2nd the pass from Reynolds was too far in front .

But of course Tesi is sht and needs to be sold off to another club .Walsh will never make a mistake and is the best #1 defensively in the universe . LOL .
Poor ole Reece doesn't stand much of a chance with you when he gets here does he..... 😆

y'all know my thoughts on tesi but I didn't think he was that bad last night. He was his usual self, some nice touches, looked threatening on the attack sometimes but defensively still found wanting. It's not like he's missing tackles but he's just never there when someone is crossing the stripe, almost like his positioning sucks ass.

I wonder how much we're missing TMM's communication at the back, it's obviously hard to say how much either of them talk without having them mic'ed up and comparing but IMO we've been leaking a few points since TMM has been out of the side and that's no coincidence. Mind you, I don't think TMM is a defensive rock either, I've been critical of him being out of position against other teams but I don't think it's as pronounced as Tesi at times. Could be confirmation bias from my side too given my opinion on Tesi.

Reynolds was poor last night. Mariner looked OK on debut and there's a bit to work with there, but definitely showed he's got a future.

Tigers were good value for their win, well deserved and agree with @McHunt.

Edit: Riki did well. I've dined out on him a few times this season but the last couple of games he has stepped up, so kudos and credit where it's due.

That sucked. Poor efforts in defence. Completely unorganised in attack. Thought Reyno had some terrible 5th tackle options. Becoming a bit of a habit

Broncos kind of half arsed the NRLW team presentation. Just had them stand out on the field and said their name and that was it. A bit meh.
They did exactly the same thing at Parra and Panthers last week....

Some of his kicks lately have just been spray and pray kicks. Some what of a curse to our halves ever since lockyer retired.

I keep saying it but the key to better organisation is timing and rhythm.

We need to stop this fucking brain-dead dumbfuck notion that 5th tackle plays need NEED NEED NEED to be done at HYPERLIGHT SPEED.

****, if I had my way my boys would all know that when the ref screams "held" it's time to slowly get to your feet, check your dummy half is in position, make eye contact with the ref and when happy, roll the ball back as normal.

Why? There's then only two guys with any hope in hell of getting to the kicker who has had plenty of time to pick his target and get the chase teams defence line synchronised. A slow ptb on the fifth totally negates offside from the 10 metre perspective, it removes all of them from harassing the kicker as they must remain stationary at least 15+ metres away from the kicker and will never get there.

If you really watch the motion of a play you can plainly see the defenders time their thrust forward with the action of the guy playing the ball. What I'm pointing out here during normal play is both attack and defense have a rhythm during a set of six (a majority of times) and what tends to happen( freeze frames will tell you this) is you see the entire defence line is already 2-3 metres closer by the time the ball actually touches the dummy half's fingers.

They get the jump BUT after watching this for years they don't get the jump ( guilty feet have got no rhythm) when you slow the fifth. I totally ***** their rhythm, their timing because you make everyone stand still, no fully coiled, rolling with you response.

Apologies for rant...OMSAC

I'm sorry everyone, last night was my fault.
I haven't been to a live game in 4 years so when I went to Sydney last week with my family and was there to bathe in the glory of the incredible win over Parra at Parra I lost the plot.
I bought tickets for all 4 remaining home games and made the trek to Suncorp last night from the Sunshine Coast - which is not my favourite thing to do.
I took my daughter, who used to be a Cowboys fan (because she loved JT), and her best mate, who has never been to a live game, much less going to the greatest rugba leege ground in the world. My daughter, the turncoat, has now declared herself a Broncos fan and wants to go to more games, partially because she has fallen madly head over heels in love with Tesi.....(groan) :porthoz:
I also took a mate who is a tragic Bronco fan like me. The last time we went to game at Suncorp together was the night Storm beat us in the prelim final when Simms dropped the ball with a minute to go - those memories still hurt. We also went to the GF in 2015 and we all know how that went.....
So regardless of how poorly we played last night, or how well the Tigers played, it is all irrelevant, as is the refereeing...
The curse of the Mighty Toad is back and I will be there to back the Broncos until the end.
Abuse me, slander me, there is nothing any of you can do to stop me. I WILL BE THERE for the Kniggits, Storms, and the slimy Eels and BY GOD this curse WILL BE BROKEN!!!
I believe..... (fk i hope so anyway...:rofl:rofl:rofl)

My close, personal, internet friend (that I have never met), I appreciate you trying to take the blame, but it is me, ME, I confess that is at fault here.

I have never watched a full game of the Broncos since 2015 that we haven't lost. I've worked it out, that I'm allowed to watch 5 to 8 minute intervals, but must clock off before the opposition score.

if i continue to watch, the Broncos turn into the Boncos, and we lose.

I, to my shame, watched the entire game, through to the last Tigers try. I could have logged off. I could have gone to sleep. I .... didn't.

I'm so sorry. This is an apology to all, not just you.

You should come with me to one of the remaining home games👍🤣

You WILL sell these tickets.

If there is one good thing to come out of the loss it is that the Titans are now sweet motherless last all on their own, serves them right for being dickheads with their recruitment.
