When Kahu is back, Oates can remain on the wing and Maranta can piss off, Wallace gone next round please.
 
I need my say in here too. Soz I just missed the move.

Was it just me or did Wallace completely stuff up the team dynamic.
Mad props to Hodges.
Sneaky thumbs up to Thaiday for faking a cramp to cover a knock-on.
Oates gets major credit. Where the hell did he come from?
Ben Hunt FTW. Wallace completely ruined his momentum.
Loved Hodges playing attacking FB swap with Hoffman as defense. Brilliant!
Hoffman has to learn to take those bombs less awkwardly. I nearly choked every time he took it away from his chest.
Gillet was also AWESOME he took it hard to Matt Scott.
 
Remember that guy that said during the week Oates would play well on the wing and why he would.

Same guy that said in April he'd be the next 20's player to play NRL.
 
Bring in Granville as bench hooker. Give Thaiday less minutes. And most importantly, don't try to shut down your attack to defend a lead.
 
Surely Neil Henry just walks into Ross Creek tonight and waits for a croc ....
 
So glad to finally get a win on the board, Hunt started well but faltered as the game went on but he'll only get better for the run.
Happy to have Hoffman at the back too, he put his body on the line many times where Norman wouldn't have done.

YEAHHHHHHHHH, **** YEAH! The broncos will be the death of me, I swear I was close to having a heart attack. I may be jumping the gun a bit but after tonight's performance I am convinced we are only 1 or 2 big signings off a top 4 side. I think hunt made a massive statement tonight having a hand in 2 tries and defending phenomenally. Oates will be giving jack reed a run for his spot so he better get on the tready and lose that gut he's sporting or he's gonna be back in Q Cup. Hoffman = gun
 
well right now we needed the 2 pts and it didnt matter how, and we got them. the team looked incredibly excited but also relieved at the full time siren. lets hope they can build some confidence from here.

first half was good. hunt had a great first half i thought. oates outstanding for a youngen barring a few mistakes but thats ok. dodds was really quite impressive i thought. hodges a class above and looks a genius move to have him slotting into FB in attack - we needed to go out the back a bit more at times. hoffmans safety cleaning up those bouncing balls at the back was incredible.

went a bit wayward in the second half. hunt seemed to go a little missing but im glad he got control in that last minute and belted it over the sideline.

anyone know why tasi played only about 5-10 mins??? our forwards looked so buggered i just dont understand why he didnt get more game time?

what a relief to get the win.
 
Based on tonights performance the only changes I would make with the current roster would be.. Kahu in for Maranta (When fit obviously), Hannant in for Lui, Baptiste onto the bench for Wallace, Wallace to QCUP.
 
Yeah agreed Alec, unless your bringing in someone like Granville who can really speed up our attack from dummy half then theres really no benefit bringing in someone like Wallace to replace McCollough, I know I've been critical of McCollough but if his there you got to make sure he either stays on the field or his replacement keeps the momentum going, Wallace killed that and allowed the Cowboys back in.

oh and as someone who's bagged macca i thought he had a pretty good game. shame he dropped it on the break he made.

I can't believe we won that. Cowboys had all the ball in the 2nd half but we really dug deep to get the win. A bit of magic from Hodges and we were in front. Prince was good as was most of the forward pack. Hunt had a good first half and his kicking game was pretty good. I felt he went missing a bit in the 2nd half but I think he can improve. Oates was outstanding. Hoffman at fullback defensively is superb.

Wallace out but not replaced by Baptiste, let's leave the bench as a full forward rotation and have Macca play the 80 or not play at all.

It was shown tonight, you can't sub out spine players when momentum is going your way and the best way to be sure it doesn't happen is just play the spine for the full 80. Can't play the 80? follow Norman to the Eels where anything past 5 minutes is applauded.

But I will give him a wink for milking the "cramp" in his leg.

Very quick thinking from the skipper after he plainly dropped the ball when trying to play it.

Could have been an entirely different result, if the refs had of been on to the ruse.
