Interesting that Merritt didn't get auto-selected at fullback as he usually does. Man, my heart still hurts from watching him get spanked during his long awaited origin debut. One of the more brutal stories of league in a while.

edit: speaking of Origin wingers, whats the story with Ferguson?

I'd have gone with the Sharks, but couldn't think of a name for them. So don't let me down Panfers.

At full strength, I reckon Canberra's back 5 are right up there with some of the best in the last 10 or more years.

1. Milford
2. Lee
3. Wighton
4. Croker
5. Ferguson

Add in Campese and McCrone, who is in the best form of his career, in the halves, and that's just awesome. Fantastic forward pack too, with Shillington in superb form, Papalli who is close to one of the best back rowers in the comp, and Fensom who is just a Parker-like machine at lock.

I really enjoy watching them.

Struggling to recall a worse start to a game than what Parramatta dished up tonight.

what, 3 tries in 7 minutes, 0% posession, two kick offs for zero tackles in the opposition half, one of them out on the full, pathetic goal line defense?

I can, most of the Broncos games this year.
If you think we're bad you haven't seen Parra play this year. They've won 3 games and went through about 200 players.

Watching the Dogs vs the Eels and I literally dozed off for a bit. Woke up and Cobra is on. Thanks CH9! :thumbup1:

This Eels team are seriously a joke and is possibly the worst NRL team I've ever seen, apart from Hayne and Mannah that whole team is park footy standard. Wonder how the great Eels of the past like Kenny, Sterling, Wynn, Price, Grothe snr and jnr etc all feel watching this garbage running around. I even think the Magpies side of 1998/1999 would beat this lot at least in that team there was Skando and Brett Hodgson. For the older fans on here how bad exactly was Western Suburbs in 1998/1999 from what I hear they were hopeless they also conceded 944 points in their last season.

The Eels are a stark reminder of the NRL's failure this year.

They could have found a way for Folau to sign with them. Then they might not suck so bad and Folau would still be playing in the NRL (and Origin). But yeah, nah, NRL prefer that Eels just super suck and Folau plays Union instead. Administrative genius at its best!

Starting the game with a short kick off was Ricky's idea right? There's no way a young guy fighting to remain in the NRL had the balls to start a game that way? What the **** were they thinking? It wasn't even like it was aimed at some midget who sucks in the air. They kicked it to Inu FFS.

Yeah Ricky's a fucking idiot
