I don't care what stage of the season it is, if you are going to make changes it should be for a reason other than just making changes. All year this has been going on and we finally get some stability in the side & the defence starting to gel and kevvie goes & tinkerers with it yet again! All year it's been one step forward & two steps back because the coach thinks the answer to every problem is to change the side instead of actually coaching it.

I agree regarding the halves, forwards and bench but I really don’t know what Kev is doing with that backline.

Our right side defence had been one of the worst in the comp and the last 4 weeks it has considerably improved to the point that it was now easily the best defensive aspect of the team.

Arthurs comes in and does a decent job of covering Staggs and plays a position (right centre) he is used to.

Coates hasn’t played any footy so he hasn’t earned the spot back - Isaako has just apparently lost it. Mead is apparently below even Coates in the pecking order despite being solid in all of his performances on the wing and his wealth of experience.

Arthurs dropped and Farnworth moved to right centre - for Cobbo.

After coming out and saying the end of the year is apparently about stability Kev completely shuffles the backline and now 7 players in the team have a man next to them who they have never played with before.

I haven’t been calling for Cobbo, in fact I’ve been complimenting Kev’s pick and stick and only wanted Croft dropped for Kelly but even admitted it was hard to be too harsh on Kev because we won 2/5 with Croft in the team.
I also haven’t suggested Farnworth play fullback but have admitted it wouldn’t be much worse than current options.

Your post read like I’m just being negative for the sake of it and haven’t given Kev credit when it was warranted. Like the last few weeks when he was on a good run.

I guess we’ll find out on Friday night, an entire backline shake up minus Oates with 3 19 year olds might be a stroke of genius.

not to mention that it gives us a head start on the pre-season against one of the better sides. even if Cobbo isn't perfect, it will give the coaching staff an idea on if he has the potential to make a strike center, that way part of the pre-season isn't wasted

What are you having a cry about. Everyone who got dropped deserved to be dropped respective to the player that was replacing them, it’s as simple as that. Honestly this is one of the few weeks where kevvie has got it right. Only semi questionable decision is Coates but at the end of the day Isaako is still shit

Tbh I think you can be sometimes you seem to criticize first , especially when the team lists come out.
When players aren't playing any games because of being in the bubble do you just let them sit , or do you rotate to give them games.
A lot of people are quick to criticize but none have any experience in dealing with a footy team in covid times.
