Hodges was abysmal. Reed seemingly on his way back to being shit too. Alex Glenn was terrible too.

Milford - 3 runs total. What a colossal waste of talent. Kodi Nikorima, the super sub, 0 runs as well.

It's not the reason we lost but the reffing was shit tonight. Dogs were allowed to lie in the ruck forever and Reed was blatantly taken out every time we put up a bomb. The final one was a two-fer with Maranta taken out as well.

But no excuses, we got monstered in the middle. Hopefully Blair coming back next week changes things.

I think we underestimated how important Blair is to this team, especially with McGuire missing. The forwards looked tired in the 45th minute.

That's a game that could have gone either way, but ultimately a couple of soft tries determined the result.

Frustrating effort tonight. A couple of players really led on the front foot - Gillett, Thaiday, Kahu, Boyd et al played really well, but bounce of the ball along with too many mistakes and cheap penalties let them down

For sure, they held on for the full 80 and lost by 2 and not 30 so that's a positive.

Niko didnt even try on of his dummy half runs. There was yet more confusion with Macca and Niko worsened by crap dummy half runs by Hodgo. His passing was rubbish too.

Hodges is lucky his name isn't Jack Reed tonight or he would be crucified. Two poor performances for us in a row. We really lack Front Rowers at the moment and it's showing. Not too dispondant though, some good signs for the future still.

Shades of the hook years there, we should have won that game. Our position in the top two is rather precarious now, and probably terminal if we lose to the Dragons next week.
