Its funny, tonight when he did stick to it he made quality metres, but at the times we really needed to maintain possession he really lacked the leadership in ensuring no cheap turnovers. I won't make him the scapegoat, others were guilty of simple costly mistakes, but I expect more from a player of his quality and our captain.

His dummy half runs were strong but on the 4th every time.
His passing from dummy half was pretty slow too.

I wonder how much of an effect Parcell would've had on tonights game.

He wouldn't have been running much, but his service is far better than anyone else's in the side, so it would have given our halves and players some extra time. His defence is good too, Nikorima isn't exactly Tonie Carroll or anything out there.

i watched on tonight and noticed a glaring issue that has surfaced the past 2 weeks. this same problem arose when we got beat by the cowboys in townsville.
mcguire is a bigger blow than i anticipated, the dirty clean up work he does in the middle was exposed tonight as it was last week.
sides are now playing wide then sending second phase play back through the ruck and we dont have the cover to stop it. we also miss his quick play the balls and kick chase through the middle as well.
as for bennets decision to pull oates at halftime!!!! golden pumpkin award for wayne im sorry.

Errors, errors, errors..........absolutely killed us tonight and has been a problem for a while now even if we have been winning.

Dogs gave us nothing and we just kept gifting them the ball.

. Oates didnt get Hooked. He had a knee injury.

Oates was limping just before going into halftime and footage of him in the sheds wasn't encouraging, hard to justify criticising pulling a player off with a situation like that.

I have had my doubts about us being a premiership threat this year for some time and I sort of expected we would get found out after Origin. Better performance than last week, but that is not saying much. Too many silly errors and too much panic when things are on, they all need to chill I think.

Even with Blair and Maguire in the side we are short one big power running forward in the form of a Lazarus/Webcke/Petero type from being a premiership threat.

We need to win and win fairly well next week otherwise things are going to look pretty dire. Knowing that you are coming up against the biggest pack in the competition and you are down your two starting front rowers, can someone explain the logic of having a winger and a tiny utility player as part of your bench?

Can someone also explain the knockon call against Milf down on their line. He has the ball knocked out by the tackler, it is knocked forward by the tackler, that is back towards our goal line and Milf recovers the ball, how is that a knock on against us? That was on first tackle, they then make their way down field and score.

Blair will bring a lot back to the side. Aggression, meters and ball playing which helps out the halves a lot. Hodges just needs to be a metre eater now and just be a decoy in attack. His stature in the game is his only great strength left. His defence is a major concern. Speed just dominated him.

You're right. Even with McGuire we lack size. I didnt really undeerstand having Maranta and Niko on the bench but who else do we have. We could have swapped Maranta and Oates I guess. 2 easy tries for Oates that Maranta usually scores and we needed his 2nd rower tries.

It was deemed a loose carry by Milford. According to Cummins, Lichaa wasn't playing at the ball when he made the tackle.

It's a 50/50 that didn't go the Broncos way.

Did anyone see Cam Smith on Sterlo on Wednesday night.

He was saying when Alex Corvo was at the Storm, he would taper off training a month before the finals. (when they knew they would be there) & it didn't matter if they lost a few games.

Smith said, I don't know if he is doing the same at the Broncos, as he hasn't spoken about it to the Broncos players.

I am not saying this is what is happening.

I reckon we should be looking for a budget one with attacking potential for next year. We'll have Gavet back, but we should look for another one too. Look how lucky the Roosters got with Moa.

Thanks BP, I disagree with Cummins, it was not a loose carry in my view and Lichaa played at the ball, but it seems we are not getting the rub of the green with the calls in the last two games.
