I went to the Origin captains run and a lot of the players had a spare set of boots on the sideline. They swapped them out to see which was the most comfortable/grippy on the surface. Obviously a change mid game would have been difficult (if it's even allowed) but surely a change at HT should have been done.

I try to stay out of the live game thread while the match is on these days, much more enjoyable to watch the game but I logged on at halftime and told all the doomsayers not to worry, every idiot knows he will change his boots at half time and play fine the second half. Only going from memory here but I don't believe Berrigan was a run first type of hooker. I remember him having great vision and being extremely good at working the forwards around the ruck to get us a roll on. His defense was more than solid in the middle as well.

I've been watching every highlights video of old games I can get my eye balls on lately for some reason - some sort of phase I guess. Anyway, from what I've been seeing, Berrigan really darted out of dummy half a lot and got over the advantage line a lot of the time. His support play back through the middle was also great.

That's what's unforgivable. Poor preparation of not bringing long spikes to Sydney or no one including the genius coach saying hey mate what about a f****** boot change. F**k even if one of the 20s was his size. How much do these people get paid including the support staff.

For that level of stupidity go back to reserve grade for the rest of the year.

Mead was terrible unless he has been killing it to earn a recall? Moga to wing, Opaic to centre of Oates not ready. Hell I'd prefer Marshall at centre to Moga.

I used to work with an ex-NRL player. When you used to flick through the hoursheet book to sign on and off you could always tell which page was his, it was as though a kindergartener had been writing in the book. Always made me laugh.

Thaiday has been named there for the past few weeks.

It's usually Glenn that is named in the 14 and Thaiday switches with him on game day and takes his spot on the bench. But lately Thaiday has been starting from the bench so he is named in the 14.
