[Round 23, 2021] Broncos vs Warriors

Has Psaltis ever had anything positive to say about the Broncos. Such an awful, irritating 2 steps behind caller. 9 could do much better.

Yep, loved what he showed today. Non-impactful to the game but saying more about his character was when Townsend was trying to have a go at him from behind and he just walked off - that random play that the bunker called a stop to play to have a look at. He just ignored Townsend completely and sort of looked around to see where the fly had buzzed off to lol.
 
I am glad we won but I hope the finals is riddled with shit calls like that.

It wont because teams wont be playing us, but holy shit.

Take a minute to disect it. It went up No try, meaning it has to be clear and obvious an incorrect call to overturn. They show multiple angles, more than not showing absolutely no certainty that Aitkin scored, if anything, more that Coates grounded it.

Absolute joke of a decision.
 
I don't know why you guys are mad about that last bunker call. Absolute game winner for us. They call it a drop out and it gives the Warriors a chance to score within Reece's actual range of three and a half meters either side of the posts.

Anyway, big shout out to Hetherington. I thought he was awesome. Did lots of cleanup work and is a great defender. We've got a good one there.

Also, congrats to Milf. Great game. Just looked into it today and looked like he gave a ****. That's all we've wanted for the last two years Milf.

Haas and Flegs were enormous, Herbie was good, as was Bullemor. Niu was all over the shop again. Sorry, but he can't be the fullback moving forward. I'd rather Isaako.
 
I have to be honest, I feel a bit bad for the poor kid Walsh. He knows his kicking lost them the game tonight. I like what he brings, he's a real good'un and will have a long and successful career in the sport (pending injuries etc.) It was hard to see him like that tonight, but it's good for him too. The better team won tonight, and it was certainly not his fault (even though I know it seems like it right now to the poor bloke).

And I could of sworn i heard the video ref say ball has been ground by Coates first and then it comes up a green light
 
It was an an entertaining game as expected. Warriors always put up a good game vs us. The boys really stuck in there despite a few dubious calls. This team a few months ago would have got frustrated and then capitulated. It makes you wonder if Kev has been drilling home that "We are the Broncos, they will never give you the rub of the green" type reality talks. We have to play above it and you can never leave a game in the hands of the refs, we did enough today to jag the win. Proud of these guys, the growth is obvious. Could the Kevolution be real, Him, DD and Iking making the right moves could have us back in top end sooner then anyone could have predicted.

Congrats to Milf, was good to see him just playing footy, not going to pretend he was great but he never let an error stop him from playing and thats what made him Milf he was prepared to play balls to the wall off the cuff footy.

Fleggs was great today, probably his best all round game in the jersey and I can see what the early backers were talking about actually coming to fruition with him.

Cobbo looks the goods, there is something about that kid that you can just see he will be special. I would really like to see him at the back at some point. His returns are strong, he has much more control of his body then Xavier does.

Kennedy has fallen off the wagon, but we will have other props to battle over that bench rotation next year so it's not a huge concern. WIth Hass, Pat, Flegg, Hetherington, Wilson and Palasia you have a good rotation, If Bull is still here you can add him.

Oh and can somebody get a screen cap of Walsh crying after Milf scored. Beautiful site to behold, would be something special if the Broncos get back into the finals before any of the Titans, Cowboys and or NZ. Then the media can shut up about who we lost and all that crap.

Up the Broncos.

Listen to billy slater interview Sean o Sullivan. He kept referring to the warriors as “we”.

Basically the way the Warriors team is hes the way who has to make the big play to win it and it shouldn't be on him at his age.. that's why I believe part of why Kev didn't play him at the start of the year with the team we had because he would of been in the same position.
Would not surprise me one bit if he comes back here

Judging by the way Riki and someone else got around him after the game, it wouldn't be unbelievable he'd come back.
