What do you think of Cory Paix and Smoothy?

Smoothy has impressed me with the small amount he's played and could definitely improve alot more. I liked Paix but he is too rocks and diamonds, no consistency.

It wouldn't matter to some if we won the prem this year with Billy starting. Fulltime siren sounds and some of the nevilles would be on here saying we definitely can't go b2b with Walters starting hooker.

You cant have superstars in every position. Penrith haven't skipped a beat with an obvious downgrade from koroisau. We aren't tied 1st in spite of billy.

Thats something i've been saying for years. You need the workhorses, you need the players who just do their job. I can see why people seem to be overly critical because hooker has become a very crucial position and he is nowhere near the better hookers in the game, but right now what he's doing is working for us and how we play just fine.

Pretty much, if we went out and signed one of the bigger name hookers in the comp, we wouldn't have been able keep some of our other players. You have to get that value from somewhere, Billy is providing it big time.

For what we're paying Billy and what he's giving us on the field, he's a total money ball player. Outside of Reece Walsh, he's probably one of the best value players in the NRL.
He's what's allowing us to keep the super stars atm, and the people who think we need to upgrade our hooker are probably better off running the Knights or Dragons salary cap.

Can’t argue with his form of late. My criticism has always been how he obtained his place in the team. At this stage it’s go broncos! Including you billy.

There’s still a whole preseason to go but at at the stage I feel Arthars does deserve that first shot over Mariner next year.

I like it though . He is so good at the basic fundamentals and is a good athlete . Mr Reliable .Has foot work like Piakura that can leave the opposition grasping .
I think he is best suited as a right side player though . Carries the ball in his right arm ? He played right centre for the Warriors ??

It really didn't though. Billy looks busier, and he had a couple of great runs including a try assist, but Tyson might be a quiet achiever. He powers through a massive amount work (45 tackles), seemingly trundling around, but if you notice he's always there at the clutch moments. His passing game is deceptively pinpoint and understated. Which all makes him more suited to starting. At the risk of going down that track again - and this is not even remotely going to happen - but if Tyson can do that for 80 minutes we might even gain from having a different type of back on the bench, maybe even a wildcard utility like Capewell.

Get more miles into Smoovie .Start him and have William on the pine . Then he has Bill on the bench for eventualities and options ??

Yeah ! Been calling for it since end of last year .
He`s a big goof . But I`d love to see him on the left side either centre or wing maybe even 2nd row one day . Because his best weapon is his right hand fend .As displayed in the All Stars game . Fend , fend , fend and gone .
