POST GAME Round 24 - Broncos vs Bulldogs

Even if there was a rift, if Parker was on the nose with the playing group, that's now gone. Bennett's going to ride it. The shit calls. The foul play. Parker just unwittingly took a bullet for the team and there won't be a single player at training next week who won't be fired up to show this comp that you do. not. **** with the Broncos.

I am still angry the penalty count was 7-5 to dogs and the last penalty to broncs was a fucking farce to end the game. Nevertheless there will not be any investigation

Gilette adds so much to this team. Never be injured again.

I have thought Gillett has not been as good the last few weeks. However I reckon Wayne giving Thaiday and Glenn their time on the bench has done wonders for them. He has lit a fire for sure.

Kasino was too scared to take a hitup on the next bulldogs set.
Was just gonna say that. After kicking a bloke in the head at least take a hit up when your teammates are getting smashed for something that you did.

im really wondering if refs are as bad as we all think. it would be good to get unibiased view. becuase if u head over to the bulldogs forum it looks neally identical to ours with all there posters saying bs penalty corrupt nrl and refs

Their captain ed sheeran was still complaining to the ref after the siren. What's that about?

They're all fucking idiots obviously

How about that first set after Kasiano kicked Parker in the chops, he didn't even have the cojones to take a hit-up. Soft ezzz bruh.

They also think faking public liability claims is a genuine income stream and three-stripe adidas tracky pants is dressing up. **** the dogs.

Check out this: its one of the 5 key points of this game from NRL.com
I'm sure this is true
Morris twins worth watching
Brett and Josh Morris are a joy to watch. It doesn't matter if you can't tell them apart because they both produce such moments of brilliance. Whether it be try-saving tackles or scoring tries, they both never give an inch until the final whistle. The two treat each match like it's their last and it shows.
The Bulldogs are lucky to have those two on their left edge, with even the Suncorp Stadium crowd applauding their efforts on every occasion. The question needs to be asked – has there been a more prolific set of twins in the history of the NRL?

Hard fought win. We bumbled a bit towards the end there but they had the run of the green all night and we gave them nothing.

Defence was as solid as it's been in a long time. Kicking was good, Hunt found grass the majority of the time. I thought our chase could have been harder, but it was enough to slow their roll.

In terms of attack, I thought we were actually quite good. Aside from getting over zealous towards the end we mixed up our plays well. We didn't look for soft options, knew when to play smart and when to roll the dice.

Assuming no serious injury, that kick on Parker may well be a blessing in disguise. Haven't seen us fire up like that in a long time.

This win will be massive for our morale. Boys played as a team tonight in a way we haven't seen in some time. If they turn up with that heart and enthusiasm each week, I'll be very happy.

Kasiano you weak cocksucker. Make an error then kick your feet out like a girl. Fukin pansey. Too bad Parker didn't he-bitch slap you after the game!

Gilettes defense tonight was top self. Especially the crucial one on one tackles one our line.

1. Boyd - Didn't do too much special tonight but didn't need to, he was super safe as always. 8
2. Oates - He was back tonight. Yes he ran to the sideline but his runs and presence intimidates other sides, hope his head knock isn't too bad. 7
3. Opacic - Is like watching a young version of Reed in everything he does, scored a nice team try. 6
4. Roberts - Had some nice touches tonight but still not exploding as we hoped. Blew a try. 5
5. Kahu - Solid as all night and found his kicking mojo early. Very good return. 7
6. Milford - He is totally back, threatened all night and defended very well, even bought Eastwood down one on one. 9
7. Hunt - He was fantastic tonight, made an error or two in kicking but I thought he was pretty much in control and varied well. 9
8. McGuire - Did he take a break? He was a machine as always, great game once again. 8
9. McCullough - He had a great game tonight and did a mountain of defensive work. I actually picked him as motm but I actually would probably go Thaiday on reflection. 9
10. Blair - Did the niggly stuff well and is back to where he was last year. 9
11. Thaiday - He had flicked the switch and proved me wrong, I couldn't be happier. Great game. 10
12. Gillett - He just locks down that right side so well, shut down the Dogs wide runners well. 8
13. Parker - Was back to his best with a high workrate and offloads galore. 9

14. Wallace - Was good when on but didn't seem on that long? 5
15. TPJ - Great first run, bad error second run and provides the energy Joffa did last year. 6
16. Arrow - He is going to be a gun, is strong and just scratching the surface. 5
17. Glenn - He is really becoming a weapon off the bench with his high work rate and energy. 8

Dishonourable mention to the ref, that was absolutely disgusting. He needs to be investigated, absolutely filthy about it and almost single-handedly manufactured that game for the Dogs.

Biggest thing for me, the Dogs are dirty and tried to talk down the Broncs forwards and point and push and shove and the Broncs pack just laughed and kept coming forward.

We

Are

Back!

That was an epic win. We need to bring the same attitude next week. We are back, baby. I was waiting to see how we'd perform tonight in case last week was a once-off, but nope. We're back. Storm next week will be a huge test. Calling it now - we win next week, we will go all the way to the big dance.

The refs / NRL may have just steeled the boys for the finals - good work, dickheads. Corrupt doesn't begin to cover it, I don't have the words.

Rally Towel - u wot m8?! Called the score, called one of our halves turning it on in the shadows of half time... Do we win the premiership this year?? What's the lotto numbers tomorrow night?!?!
