POST GAME Round 24 - Broncos vs Dragons

Hoping we're just saving an ass whooping for the eels next week.

If that's true, that attitude is one reason why we haven't won a premiership in over a decade.

Calm down. We were playing a desperate outfit and we have bigger things to work towards. Why should we be redlining before finals when we don't have to?

Anyone still watching the Chanel 9 coverage and the interview with Alex Glenn? He genuinely looks like he deadset loves playing footy and loves the club. He talks with real passion and seems to be a great role model. I love seeing guys show excitement about not just playing footy but playing for us!

I dunno about you but I'm not exactly keen on burning our guys out before the finals even begin just to put minnows to the sword

Can't play at the same intensity every week.

It did look like a mandate from the coach. I mean the whole team was playing rather low intensity. We were capable enough to finish them off well.

He has his confidence back. Hunt isn't stifling him (I'm sorry to say it) and he can play his natural game and isn't in two minds about it.

Yep he is the main guy now and is in charge playing both sides of the field.

I don't know if it was the impotent attack from the Dragons but our goal line defence was good. A bit sloppy with players falling off, but we always had bodies covering.

Glenn's a legend. Has never given anything less than 100% since he debuted. Don't know why he cops flak on here sometimes.

Wasn't in the greatest of form to start of the season, but now he is killing it.

No it's not... the reason we haven't won a premiership in a decade is because we didn't have Bennett for 6 of those years and our luck ran out with 10 seconds left one year... Rugby league is a physical game, you try to peak for 30 games you'll win 1 premiership in 15 years (Bellamy), or you can time your run and periodise your training and win 7 premierships in 30 years (Bennett)

100% I remember when he first started I got my jersey signed and I told him that I love watching him play and he has been my favourite player so far.

I think because at best he's a no-frills player, and we were lacking some impact from our pack/left side. The difference is now he's doing what he does very well and it's become effective. I think most were happy to keep him on the bench, but credit to him he's stepped up and is performing like a starter. Signing his extension has probably helped that
