Parker doesn't need the (c) next to his name to be a leader

Yeah, this is a great point. Just because you have the (c) next to your name doesn't give you super powers.

i remember reading not long after Thaiday was named captain, Parker say that the right man got the job ... if he doesn't think he is the right man, why should he be captain. let him just focus on his game.

IMO it's obvious Sam isn't a captains backside and Parker is the only possible replacement and he looks like he wants it.

What he says and what he thinks may differ and it maybe just his way of keeping the peace in the circumstances, quite frankly when it comes to leadership I see Parker and Hodges barking out more orders and trying to lead from example then I do from Thaiday.

Prince has been one of our best players over the last 2 months, open your eyes.

His goal kicking has been tremendous. Goal kicking was the difference in most of our recent wins.

I don't, I hate the way he has stood back and let Prince control the game, he wants to be the half, he should be running the attack and working to what he wants.

Which I believe will come to him, but he's been playing 2nd fiddle to Prince and Wallace all year.....you don't change those habits over night. We fucked his development, hopefully we can get him back on track.

I'm also intrigued to know where the plan to attack the blind side came from, I wonder what they saw on the tapes. I clearly didn't work and I feel that most times there were better opportunities if Macca passed it infield rather to down the short side. One thing is for sure, Cleray's plan to attack our central defence worked wonders.

Anyone bagging Hunt when the rest of the team was shit deserves a kick in the nuts.

Well I'll line up for a kick. while I certainly don't blame him for our loss tonight he isn't a kid any more. He's played a lot of NRL, he wants to be our long term half and he has to do better.

Now that i think about it.......the teams performance is basically a direct reflection of Sams own efforts..............patchy, lazy, mostly poor and mediocre at best.

Anthony Griffin's checklist for next season:

- Make Parker captain
- Kick Thaiday in the balls
- Hire a new defensive coach
- Sign Barba and Milford
- Stick with Hunt, he deserves more time
- Finally finish reading coaching for dummies

and hand in your resignation!!!!

On a bright note, somewhat soured by the teams performance tonight lets congratulate Corey Parker on becoming the 2nd placed player of highest amount of games for the club! :thumbup1:

No doubt. But to expect him to be able to show anything when the forwards let Segeyaro score untouched under the posts from dummyhalf is a bit nuts.

As much as you and I disagree with Griffin's coaching methods, there is no way he will be sacked. The mail is that the players support him and the board support him.

Kevvie, please come back!

I can only guess that's because he's not drilling the tough, boring stuff into them that coaches like Michael Maguire and Craig Bellamy do ...

For a team that was so desperate to make the finals, you served up nothing but shit you useless cocksnots.
come on 2014. i cant believe my TV still has a fucking screen in it,i threw everything i could lay my hands on at it.
Admittedly the refereeing was diabolical to say the least & i don't know about using ex players as video refs.
not sure if they could be 100% unbiased if their old team was involved or if they harbor a grudge against any other team or coach from playing days.
Anyway served us up rubbish all round.
Give kevie Walters a go at coach at least he would probably have a few ideas as hook has fucking zero.....
