I should say that I’m not bagging Mam out per se, as he’s obviously a rookie, but yeah it’s really falling to Adam to do a lot and the team (and Adam) is suffering for it, and agreed that Tyson should’ve been in the team a lot more starting at 6 and Mam could come on and be a 3rd ball player like Melbourne did with Papz and Nicho who are effectively fullback/five eighths

A five-eighth should be doing some last tackle kicking , regardless of how many games he’s played and I cannot recall Ezra doing it once

He did kick a few times. Some went out on the full.

You watch us beat drag queens 13+ and raiders win and then we will go on why we didn’t have gamble at 6 more . lol

I never understood dropping Gamble, especially as we were winning with him (even without Reynolds) and he brought so much energy to the team. While Mam might be the future, Gamble is the present and should be our first choice 6.

What do we think about Ezra getting chopped for Gamble? Like it or don't like it? Given we are a remote chance of making finals anyway, I think it's a tad harsh considering Mam has been far from our worst over the last little while.

Should’ve happened weeks ago after Mam got some experience. Easy to say now in retrospect though.

Kev seems to only have one response to losing though and that’s shuffling the spine. I’d love to know how many combinations we’ve had again this year.

I wonder if mam was one the players up set with kevi going off and got dropped for it

I don't think it is him, but if it is I hope the Broncos release him in the off-season.

Talented kid, but if he is one of the players upset then it just shows a poor attitude.

Yea it's kind of dumb now. Should have always been Gamble as first choice (with Mam as backup). Doing it now just seems like a punishment for Mam who has been playing well.

It’s a workplace. Verbal abuse is not tolerated in any workplace and it’s a 1970-80’s view that it’s “ok” in a sporting team.

Yeah they sucked but yelling at them doesn’t “fix the problem”.

Id get fired if I did that to my teams.

Wow. I'd get fired from my teams if I put them through a boot camp too. If I had a beer in the sheds after the game. If I invited them to a BBQ. There are differences in coaching professional adults and coaching children or part timers.

Coaching being the operative word here. None of what Kevvie did will fix either the result or the team. It’s a cop out and a sign Kevvie probably doesn’t have the answers.

So your saying bellyache should have got fired years ago from coaching, oh wait how’s he’s coaching record. ?

I’m saying what’s acceptable and what society thinks is acceptable has changed. Bellamy equally isn’t acceptable.

it used to be acceptable to drink/drive too and smoke in restaurants and on a plane. Society has moved on.

People spend weeks talking up Gamble like he's some sort of boom player that Kevvie doesn't know about, so now Kevvie gives him his shot at the expense of Ezra and people are carrying on even more than they were before hand

Gamble doesn't play anywhere else except in the halves
He played great off the bench, where he should be.

Not fixing the result doesn't make it any more or less of a firable offense. Professional sport is a different microcosm when it comes to workplaces. Yelling isn't a firable offense and to think so is just weird. And you're not entirely right about it not changing anything. A massive part of coaching is psychological, creating passion and intensity, calling out players to get them to step up is a pretty big part of it. Walters might not be good at it, but that's exactly what he's trying to do here.
