The call that sums up Klein's career was the Gavin Cooper No-Try from the Round 6 2013 clash.

Michael Morgan made a huge break down the Broncos left hand-side, gave it to Graham who was cut-down by Hoffman 15m from an open try-line. Next play, Tate links up with Cooper and is tackled just short of the line by Glenn & Parker on last tackle. Instead of blowing the penalty then and there and marching Parker to the bin, or calling play on, Klein sends it upstairs as a penalty try.

Not only does the video referee clear the play, but he finds Parker actually ran back on-side and that it should be play on.

Klein then makes a meal of the tackle count, calling tackle 3 when it was actually play 5.

Naturally nothing was made of the incident and Klein was free to call the next round, even though he managed to screw both teams over in the one play.

I have a bad feeling about this game.

We have a knack for losing these games.

If we're serious about pushing for a title and getting that home final in the first week then we will win convincingly. If we're not, it's not going to be a great night.

Diabolical.
Klein is the worst ref in the history of NRL in my opinion. Although he is particularly bad, he can be manipulated by a home crowd.

To be fair I think all refs have an agenda against us just because we have a successful brand (on and off field) and can manage at least 20k attendance figures that most NSW teams can only dream of!

Refs should be forced to declare who their team is and not allowed to officiate their games. Even if they don't think so, there would be sub-conscious biases. The fact Perenara can officiate Warriors games and Patten Bulldogs games is just stupid.

It's going back a while but I always hated Greg McCallum reffing our games. That fella hated us.

I really don't think refs should be allowed to officiate a game where a club they have had ties with are playing.

To me, that just reeks of conflict of interest.

I was the opposite, he was a very good ref and was always very fair. I don't remember him ever shafting the Broncos.

Stocks getting thin. Can't afford more injuries especially with reserves with performances like Mead and talent like Sua low on NRL game time. Mead better not stink it up this time he is a veteran nrl player should be consistent. Good to get Offa back next week.

I would say so and I can understand the thinking behind it, a game or two rest before the finals will probably help him come finals time and there are no excuses to the side not being able to win in that period without him.

Mead's chance to finally show why we signed him in the first place.

As far as I can tell, every ref hates us. So we should play games where the ref is only there to penalise the position. To avoid bias. It's only fair.
