Disappointing result but hats off to the players tonight, they really dug in deep even though it really wasn't clicking for them tonight.
For mine, Melbourne in Melbourne is just a very tough beast and they have so many tricks up their sleeves, eventually they're going to find you out.
Brisbane had their opportunities tonight but were guilty of just trying too hard instead of remaining composed and constructing the set.
Defensively too, they just weren't that good but jesus christ that passage of play to open the second half was just really impressive. They fought tooth and nail and I couldn't have been prouder.
It really is a shame that in the end, the game was decided by a hail mary kick at an out of position player and an intercept.
That sucks.
But the Broncos future...
Is looking very bright.
They'll take a lot of harsh lessons out of this season and they're clearly building. With the inclusion of one of the best talents in the game, the Broncos will regain their status as the top teams in the competition.
Mark my words.
Spot on and yes, future is bright.
If Barber was auditioning for the 5/8 position he just cemented his spot in the QLD cup.
For the most part the forwards matched it with Melb in defence but gee we lack go forward.
12 points was never going to be enough to beat Melb,
If there is no organisation in the middle you simply can't score points, Hunt, for all his improvement this year he couldn't organise the proverbial in a brothel. He can organise himself but that is where it ends.
Isn't that where u have an organising 5/8th 2 do that job?
Can someone explain why hodges was forcing Macca out of dummy half 3/5 tackles for the last 20 minutes? Was he giving him a rest or was he unhappy with his service?
Kind u understand Hodges' frustration. I was feeling it watching but that's where a leader needs to
help his teammate n let him know what's required. Noted macca got the shits n when he finally got back to dummy half he went right to Hunt instead of left to Hodges where I thought we had an overlap.
