I think Kevvie will definitely be making some changes before kick off.

Can see TC starting.. or potentially he will come on at the 25-30 minute mark and play out the game... It all comes down to whether he thinks he can get 80mins out of whoever he starts.

Palasia played 2nd row against rorters last year and may have got through 80mins?? (cant quite recall)... so not really a surprise to see him get one spot.

I don't really know who we even have left to play 2nd row with Capewell, Riki and Piakura out, other than TC... there might be a left field make shift option pending how training goes through the week.

On Hosking is he maybe not available because everyone missing is due to injury / suspension and not covid??

The way the NRL / media reporting worded it at the start of the year was that T&T players and development players were available if a player is ruled out due to covid, but not sure they necessarily mentioned throughout the year regardless of top 30 status.
Considering Elie El-Zakhem was named for the Eels, I presume it's the same protocols as before where T&T can come in provided there are injuries.

Paix 3 try assists on the weekend and still can’t make the team. Kevvie is a fucking knob.
I've gotta agree. I don't agree with wholesale changes after 1 loss, no matter how poor, but this was Walters chance to put in place what was obviously the plan towards the end of preseason. Let's not forget that paix was favourite for the 9 before he got covid, at the very least he was right up Turpin ass for the spot. I don't understand his reasoning for keeping Turpin here. From all reports and the his nrl and qld cup games I've seen his defence is bloody good and he brings what we've been missing in the 9. Is he a permanent answer? Maybe not, but Turpin isn't either so wtf kevvie?!

Will take Turpin all season to get 2 try assists. **** sucks.
That maybe the case but there's a couple of things you need to keep in mind. Paix only made the transition to dummy half in 2020 where he got very few reps in. He improved in the position last year but remained a work in progress and even now he's still developing. Heading into the season he was the favourite to get the spot, but COVID knocked him around and he just got his first game in.

He was OK but there was very little about his performance that screamed he needs to come in right away.

Like I said, he'll be in the team sooner than later but at this stage there's not as big a gap between Paix and Turpin as some would like to believe.

If Kevin wants to maintian stability across the team, particularly the spine, then i beleive thats a noble endevour.

And it makes a lot of sense actually.

Live by the sword, you gotta be prepared to die by it too.

The comp this year seems like the gap between the top teams and the rest has narrowed, at least after 3 rounds. More penalties rather than the 6-again is having a effect.

So its there for us to reach the final 8..... can Kevvie grab it though?

Did i see right - have we split up Cobbo and Staggs for next game?

Probably the right thing, cant have the 2 most error prone players in the game next to each other.

Did we spend big on the wrong centre? Im starting to think thats what we've done...

Pull your finger out Staggs, get your head in the game please and start affecting the game...

You’re reading it right but the team list is wrong. For some reason the broncos have a team list tradition of naming the centre’s on the wrong Sides. It’s been that way for ever and I don’t know why.

I would be interested to see what happens if they did swap though. I think Herbie would be even better.

On this, I definitely agree with you. Kennedy is easily the better player. Talk/shmalk. I can't judge players on their supposed on field talk, but I think as a forward talk only goes so far, run it hard, tackle hard, that's all I care about.
Huge is taking a few people guessing why Ryan James was selected over his boy and running it. His leadership on and off the field could have been what got him over the line but neither James or Kennedy should be in the top 17. Huge doesn't respond when told neither should be in the team

Absolutely. Isaako performed and so did Kennedy and both were dropped. Inexplicably Uni walked straight back in but I'd have him play local mistake free football first and I wouldn't disrupt a winning team.
Niu overtook him last year and was always going to come in and replace him. Isaako was never in our future plans after signing elsewhere.

2 and they're being very generous with the Paletua-Kiri try.

He set up one for Hazard with a good grubber behind the line. His time will come sooner rather than later.
@BooKhaki in regards to our other discussion, we defend less when we score more tries too.
