I'd imagine we'll see some late changes. Walters' is playing ducks and drakes with Riki and if Capewell is ruled out I'd imagine we may see Ryan James tossed into the edge backrow like he was against the Cowboys when Kurt came from the field. I wouldn't be shocked at all if we see him and Flegler swap with James coming onto replace Palasia or Robati during the game.

I'm surprised that Hosking wasn't named as a reserve, I would have thought given the injury toll you may want him around as cover and he had pretty good numbers for Wynnum on the weekend.

Otherwise business as usual and I'm not surprised at all to see Walters take a patient approach.

Ryan James is obviously the defensive option.

Didn't see the stats but he didn't look to be missing too many tackles.

Just looking for something positive - 3 time last year the team came up with a win after being belted.

R7 - conceded 46 pts
R8 - won 36-28

R10 - conceded 50 pts
R11 - won 34-16

R15 - conceded 46 pts
R16 - won 26-18

I didn't expect to see that, let alone 3 times. I think we can bounce back.

We don't agree that often but we do today😃

I probably wouldn't be quite as harsh but he definitely has added nothing we weren't getting from Kennedy but James's defence was/is marginally better. However, Kennedy's metres were way better. Anyway, if we are using James it's his chance to prove his doubters wrong and KW's faith in him justified.

He better hit that line hard though because playing alongside Haas will make poor go forward stand out even more. I have grave fears for this match and as a consolation prize have loaded up on the Warriors.
On this, I definitely agree with you. Kennedy is easily the better player. Talk/shmalk. I can't judge players on their supposed on field talk, but I think as a forward talk only goes so far, run it hard, tackle hard, that's all I care about.

Is there games being played here. Is Kev trying to be the 'Old Man' again coming in here naming this side. Why are we naming two second rowers that are injured. Riki's has been taped/padded up for weeks, seen it in the post game shed videos but last week he got turned only slightly and couldn't return. Capewell pulled his calf against the Rabbits after his field goal on the kick off he caught, so if these guys need a break it should just be given now or risk running a 3 man bench in game. Hetherington could cover the second row keep TC and Jensen on the bench or even Huges boy.

Must not have been that bad of an injury..

Good to see a bit of reality hit the group; sometimes its the losses that teach you the most not winning..

Kobe, and ive been consistent with this, should be the 13 moving forward. Watching Murray and Tamo linking with their edges via nice short passes is something we need. More variety is needed. Carrigan is a prop - start him there.

The 2 players in the NRL with the highest error rate per 80 minutes in the comp are Staggs and Cobbo.

Cowboys are the top yardage making team in the comp.

Kevin Walters has one of the worst defensive records since he became coach with the only guy worse, ironically, is Payten.

Thats what 2021 does to you.

I do wonder how long it will be before Perreria and Lee break into this side.

The metre king starting. Ryan James. 106 metres from three games totalling an hour and three quarters.

Probably not a bad thing in some ways. He's provided absolutely nothing in the go forward department when used off the bench. Starting might make his place in the team justified. Oh, all that extra talking is surely a boost!!!
Hass to make all the meters. James will follow him around and talk him up. Seems like a good plan.

I get the patient approach. Maybe he wants to see if they react. I just get concerned that players don't ever get held accountable. I thought one or two changes should have been made.

I wouldn't be shocked if there's some late changes but I didn't expect to see as many drastic changes as some fans on here wanted. I think they'll come in time but there's very little wriggle room as it currently stands.

Shouldn’t have extended kevvie. Still has Turpin in the team. What a fucking clown.
