Many are predicting a 30-40 point drubbing but it won't be that bad. The Roosters don't look near as imposing without Cronk and Latrell and Lindsay Collins is making his first career start tonight so he will be nervous. There is no way in the world that Broncos are victorious tonight but they will have a sniff for at least 55-60 mins. Roosters by 13.

The ironic thing about Shibasaki is if he stayed in Brisbane, he’d most likely be playing first grade this week. After Bradman Best’s game on the weekend, he is going to play as much first grade for Newcastle as he would have in Brisbane

If you are somewhat confident then you need to have a wager. Put a grand on $4.45 and see what transpires. I would if I thought there was a remote chance but there isnt. I read somewhere that tonight's game is a battle of the fullbacks. That didn't help the confidence levels.

There’s a lot of more ***** there than joy.
 
The three things I want to watch tonight, Paix, Niu and the three in defence.

Paix is fast when he reacts, especially to the left hand side, but he has to react and the defence side for him is going to be hard as he gets tired. Even if it isn't the right option he has to be confident and just make it because when he hesitates and thinks too much like last season he struggles. Richards has spent a lot of time with him this week and will be calming. Massive ask though.

Niu I still maintain is a centre or nothing but clearly that's not happening so off the bench becomes interesting. If they use him as a weapon it could become interesting, he's very strong and fast. Right hand side is his strong side, but he can come over to the left with a pass but just run don't pass. Origin 18's last year is his late game blue print for involvement.

The three in defence last week was terrible, if Croft and Milford don't get it right then Cordner and Keary are going to run wild. Markers last week weren't great either and fullback positioning inside the attacking area.
 
I would love to see the boys hold on to the ball. Do they still use that sticky spray stuff?

I think Kodi being a first grade half is completely dependent on the half you put next to him. He is a good runner of the ball but he needs an organiser to be of use.

Would it be worth enquiring if Farah wants to come out of retirement for the rest of the season?
