Round 4 - Broncos vs. Storm - Post Match Discussion

Just watching the replay and I can't believe that Slater's first try was awarded as Sam was clearly held back as the scrum broke up.

Refs are just as bad as last year. They go the video ref far too often too.

I was thinking exactly that - video ref called up for just about every try lastnight? Definitely a turn around from what we've seen so far this year - hope Anderson has words with them, I must admit I was underwhelmed by the officials. It felt like last year, not what I've come to expect so far in 2013!

I'd be happier if Daniel Anderson said "it's fine, that's allowed". Much rather that than "oops, sorry, we got it wrong". Sure, on a points alone basis it wasn't the difference, but fark it didn't help momentum!

Copely will do well in attack in the centres. Him defending in the centres is the big question mark. But I will still have him on the wing over Womantra

I thought he was held back too and should have been no try, but it was actually a clever play from the Storm, and I have no doubt it was rehearsed. At any other time on the field I think it would have been disallowed as it was clear someone had hold of Thaiday, but given it's a scrum, the opposition player had to have hold of him at some stage. It then really came down to an interpretation on how long he was allowed to hold Thaiday, plus given that the play had moved away from the scrum, I don't think there was that much clear footage of him being held back.

The angle Locky showed at half time was the clearest. Could almost see Norrie (think it was Norrie) looking at Slater run through the gap before letting go.

Great game of football to watch live. Great crowd and atmosphere. Now we have to do it all again next week with the same desire and passion. After watching the replay how the hell were we not given a penalty when Thaiday was held in the scrum? Will be interesting to hear what Anderson refs coach has to say? Once again i hope all the Thaiday baggers who rant about him playing front row and his captainacy will give it a rest (including former players)
Would like to see Hunt at 1/2 and wallace at hooker when Macca is given a rest.

Yeah, he was grappling with his chicken wing I think. Good to know a player follows the coach's instructions

It was fucking illegal play. The fact that it looked like a 100% intentional set play proves what kind of scums the Storm are, always doing whatever they can get away with to gain an advantage. Including being the biggest cap rorters in the history of Rugby League.

The boys did it to me again. Didn't have a lot of faith before the game (shamefully). But then they all kick into gear and give the game a good shake and I think we're gonna win only just lose it.
Super proud of the effort and big ups to Cptn Sam. Was inspirational. That's the reason why he got the little c beside his name. Now if only he can reproduce it for another 20+ games more.
And special mention to Hoffman. Admitted that he wasn't giving 100% last year and could easily have cracked the shits by being shunted to the wing but has sucked it up and is one of our best!

Only just got around to watching some highlights, Duffie was doing his best Michaels impersonation shooting out of the line and letting in all those tries.

I actually don't think even Michaels ever played as badly as Duffie.

I don't think Chambers did him much favours either.

Mind you, let's not pull a Cooper Cronk and give credit where it's due.

Haha I was wondering if I was the only one that noticed what a truly bad sport that guy was/is
