PRE-GAME Round 4 - Storm vs Broncos

Is there a way to see live game posts as they appear without having to refresh the page? Apologies in advance, I am technologically challenged.

I've always wondered this @Nashy

Would be awesome

a Storm side containing Cam Smith, maybe ... but without him they are beatable
I agree, the Storm are nowhere near the team the were with CS9.
Do you Really think we're a chance though?
I think we have the ability to be competitive.
For mine though, win will take a small miricle.
Does anyone know how long it's been since they have lost 3 in a row?

If you scroll to the bottom of the page, and there are new posts, there will be a "see new posts" message at the bottom of the screen, click it, and the new messages will pop up without having to refresh.

Edit: I have a feeling we are going to beat the Storm this week.

I reckon Munster is stepping up to take CS9's place. His involvement, to me at least has gone up a level this year, and their spine continues to work together really well. They win because their defence is so good- they move up so fast, and their attack is all about super fast ball movement and precise execution. To beat them, you have to play as well as them defensively which is a big ask, and in attack - to penetrate their defence, it's the same: get the ball moving fast and with precision, and everyone supporting everyone else. It's actually exactly the same game plan with all the best teams, especially under the shitty new rules.

Frankly, at this stage of our re-building after the Seibold chaos, I can't see us getting within 20 points of them. We do not move up in defence which means they will exploit our fragile marker and goal line defence. Munster and Hughes will work the ball in the spaces between our markers and slow moving defensive line and create overlaps out wide with swift passing. Paps will be up just behind, or in the line, and ready to exploit the slightest gap, exactly as Slater did. Against their speed and precision in the way they execute, I just can't see us winning, at this stage of our comeback under Walters. The 2nd half will tell all, as it always has. I just hope we can stay competitive, which will mean 100% commitment for the entire 80.

For me, next time, maybe. Nevertheless, like every game against the best, it provides Walters with the chance to fix what's broken, because the top sides expose what's broken quick smart.

Welp, Brisbane is officially fucked. 10 new cases, 4 of them locally acquired, and it's the UK strain which is contagious as ****. Lucky I'm a home bod to begin with cause this ain't looking good.

How does this affect the Broncos training schedule? Do they depart for Melbourne before 5pm, get tested and train down there?

To be fair it was a shit throwing contest, at the same token we almost beat Parra who the week after beat Storm.
Parra in round 1 played the worst footy they have played in the last 3 years. All they had to do in the 2nd half was complete at above 50% and the put on the points.

I wish it were possible but the only way that would happen is if the Storm were to forfeit for some reason. The Broncos aren't in the same universe and Melbourne have us easily covered in every single position and aspect. It will be a total mismatch (as usual) and the scoreline will reflect that. Some fans are taking way too much from the Canterbury match where in fact the first 60 mins were an embarrassing display from two first grade teams. The Broncos are improving slightly but not enough to even have Melbourne remotely concerned.

The NRL originally had us leaving Tuesday and entering a bubble in Melbourne, although they might have changed today and decided to pack luggage etc and leave on a private jet to Melbourne ASAP.

UPDATE: Chris Garry has said players and coaching staff have been sent home to pack for 2 weeks and will be leaving today.

Each game is different though, whether it was the rain messing up the surface or what not but last week had alot of errors in nearly every game, sometimes when you play a shit team their shitty play rubs off on yours. A Cameron Smithless Storm might be in the realm of beatable, because usually we play them like we have some lingering PTSD even when we have a good team.

Yep i agree with the consensus that we are getting a bit unrealistic with our expectations of matching the Storm on their turf after they've had two losses.
They might not be at their best currently but they will be primed for a big win here especially after the shit that Bellamy has copped in the media of late.
I think they have us covered all over the park for skill and with their structure and extra experience I'm expecting a long day.
The only hope i see for a reasonably close game is if we get up in their faces and continually smash them in defence and frustrate the shit out of them until they hopefully lose their shape.
I'm not confident our defence has the ability to do this currently but we are slowly improving.
Don't get me wrong though, i am still hoping for a good honest performance. Go the Broncs.

Perhaps, my gut tells me otherwise.
Based purely on scientific guesswork and unrealistic expectations, i still think we will win it.

The thing with Croft and Milford is we know what we are going to get with Croft every week, and he also tries. Milford could be invisible one week, let in three tries the next, invisible the next and then put on a good game after 4 weeks of nothing. Croft is an average player, Milford is a good player that puts in below average efforts most weeks. One of them would benefit from a kick in the ass and it’s not Croft.

I sooo hope you're right.
I'll love eating humble pie on Friday night if you are.
