PRE-GAME Round 4 - Storm vs Broncos

I agree, the Storm are nowhere near the team the were with CS9.
Do you Really think we're a chance though?
I think we have the ability to be competitive.
For mine though, win will take a small miricle.
Does anyone know how long it's been since they have lost 3 in a row?

If we play up to our opposition like we did in round 1, we are a chance ... it will require our first 80 minute performance of the year though

Realistically tithe Storm should easily account for us, probably our first 40+ loss for the year. Even without CS this is a huge mismatch in rosters.

Munster v Milford
Hughes V Croft
Smith v Turpin
Papanhuyzen V Isaako

Their only real weakness is down Jennings & Smith’s side, Nui will have a nightmare of a night vs Olam.

I think a few of the Storm are way underdone and quite tender after that Penrith game. Smith for sure is carrying a rib injury, but many of them will be fairly busted after that hard slog. We on the other hand hardly smudged our lipstick on Saturday night against the puppies. Kevvie studied under Bellyache and will know what to expect so our boys (if they listen) will be forewarned. With a fully fresh Lodge and Haas it is just possible we could ambush these cocky, cap rorting bastards when they least expect it.

This Storm team is not the same team as we've come to loathe and respect. Cronulla showed us how and that is brutal defence. I won't be surprised to see a win for us. We are getting 18.5 start for almost even money and that's great value considering in 2021 we're the better performed team 🤣🤣🤣😉

Hope this pandemic and lockdown saves the lads from having to play and the almighty flogging heading their way otherwise.

I'd rather get Reynolds if we can.

I'm not all in on Dearden. I like him, I think he's solid, but I haven't seen enough to say he's our future.
Lol signing players like Reynolds would be straight out of the Paul White playbook.

Keep Munster busy with defence and watch out for Paps being sneaky and we almost might have a chance

For what it's worth I agree with you. Trying to find a scapegoat to blame every week isn't productive or helpful. I may not be a regular around here, but its something in my family we talk about a lot. My father has a big broncos logo tattoo on his inner bicep, he got it while he was blind drunk but it's a constant reminder regardless. Growing up with Broncos has been a great experience simply because they always had a team in the top half of the ladder with players who had been with the club their entire careers. Whatever year it was, Broncos were in the mix. 2006 my fav year of course, game 3 state of origin, 2006 final, I'll never forget it. I think most people who grew up in QLD would have a similar experience.

It's a bitter pill to swallow when the team is in the state it is. Fans of other teams would laugh and say get over it, happens to the best of teams, you're not invincible forever. But the Broncos..

There is anger, frustration, pointing fingers, wanting to blame, trying to fix things. But in the end it's just about learning to come to terms with.. dare I say it.. losing. There is no magic bullet, no simple fix, and thats ok. Losing isn't fun, but it's inevitable in sport, you will lose, and it takes character to persevere in the hope of brighter days ahead. I hope the young guys on our team get to experience that, and when they do it will be the greatest feeling knowing what they have been through. The next time I talk about the Broncos to a family or friend, I'll being making an effort to be less critical and more supportive.
Great post. I think there is something to what @Huge says about this process might be what our younger players need, the heat of the furnace producing hardened steel, the pressure turning coal into diamonds. You are right, if you are supporter you go through times like these and you just have to strap in and go for the ride.

Shit, someone on here who is actually older than I am. You make some very good points, sir. Like you, I experienced the Bronco's golden era and it was a wild fucking time and one of the greatest stages of my life. Back in the heyday of the 90's, one would never even comprehend the modern day shit show. It just wasn't possible with this club. Throw in a few fuckups trying to do a job they aren't qualified to and you have the current farce. It's a shame what the club has become but it doesn't overly concern me because I have the 90's and no one can take that away from me. How's your unit in Kirra going?
I say there should be a BHQ unit warming BBQ at Huge's Kirra sub-penthouse, what is the worst that could happen????

There's a few on here that I'd happily host at a get together and a game on the big screen...if we find someone with two Mustangs for a cruise that would be great too.
