PRE-GAME Round 4 - Storm vs Broncos

Omg. Are people seriously thinking we have a chance to win this game? Lol. Go rewatch the dumpster fire of that game that happened on Saturday night. Yikes. I’ll be happy with a similar performance that we gave the eels. No doubt there’s gonna be an assy ref decision and we will drop our heads for 10 minutes for Munster to rip us apart.
Yes. We'll win by 4.

We need to come into this game with the same fire in our bellies as the eels game. I felt strangely proud of our effort after that one. Especially with the injuries.

Gotta defend our asses off. Match them early and get in to a grind, play field position football and make the most of our likely limited opportunities.

This game will likely set the tone for the next few games to come given the opposition were facing. Need to start this next run of games positively.

I’m with you, I’m as much a Bronco man as everyone else but a lot of people on here have been drinking the clubs koolaid.

Our forwards in the opening 3 rounds have done us proud and I’m sure they’ll stand tall against the storm pack without Finucane & Kaufusi. Even if we go an even split on possession their spine will be far more effective with the possession they have when it comes to field position, repeat sets and points.

I think staying within 24 of them would be a pass mark but I’m expecting a 40+ Line.

I don't think this will be the slaughter that everyone is assuming. We will have taken a lot out of that second half against the Dogs. We will turn up with some fight, but it won't be enough to win. We just have a far inferior squad and lets face it, Melbourne will get away with murder as they always do, especially in the ruck where they will absolutely rape us and the ref will be like "did you enjoy the nap?"

Won't be as easy as some think. I mean Melbourne will come in complacent even after being reamed by Bellamy. There's no proxy there anymore, no Bellamy V2 to glare at them. Our problems will begin just after halftime. I expect KW will have a gameplan and for once the football gods will be on our side.

Our chip kicks will bounce straight back into our arms bypassing the outstretched Melbourne fingers by mere millimetres and their kicks will bounce away from them. We'll win this one. It's got nothing to do with the dogs game. DOG spoke to me and made a revelation, praise be to DOG.

Go unto the TAB, offer a gift and it shall be returned seven fold.

Look at the belief in here after 1 win against the lowly bulldogs.. all of a sudden people think we can knock off the premiers.

Now imagine that same turnaround for the players - that’s how important finally getting a win was and the boys will be so much more bullish on their prospects against anyone now.

Realistically speaking, I doubt we win this one.. but, we don’t need to. Turning this ship around will take small steps and the next one is to be competitive and stay in it against an elite Melbourne side - that will be enough to add to our platform of growing confidence and give us something to build on for next week.

In 2006, the catalyst that turned our awful mid-season slump around and propelled us to premiership glory was a close, tough loss to Melbourne. Maybe we will see similar here.

I’m impressed by people confidence to predict the result either way, I have no idea what to expect.

I like the little ship analogy in light of what happened in the Suez Canal. I’m sure someone can make a meme relating it to the broncos.

This is from the Storm's fan forum. I think Kevvie playing with the halves selection has utterly fooled them boys.

Doh! this was meant for the round 4 thread. Can someone move it please.

I can just imagine poor Kodi minding his own business, going about his life, when Kafusi appears out of nowhere and starts twisting his ankle.

**** this made me genuinely laugh.
