PRE-GAME Round 4 - Storm vs Broncos

I would be getting lodge's and TPJ's ears and getting them to just put everything they have into crushing big nelson. If our enforcers can get it over him, it would rev our team up and shake melb i think.

I would also be telling riki that his job is to get up in munsters face all night. If he gets rid of the ball so be it, but do not fall for any dummies and if he takes it to the line ensure he wears your should in his sternum.
 
I had a spare half hour before lunch today and was thinking on that shit team song of ours.
I knocked this up. I don't have a tune for it though.

Baby steps, i just want to see an improvement in key areas..... defence being the main one.

Hopefully they dont get a case of the dropseys too, gifting The Storm possesion.

I expect us to be beaten but i want The Storm to have to work hard for it .... no freebies!!

what confidence? the vast majority are expecting the Storm to belt us ...

a few of us however are simply pointing out that without Cam Smith, the Premiers are not the same team they were. (which is why they are below us on the ladder).

all we're saying is that we're in with a chance ... but it will take an 80 minute performance. we matched it with Paramatta (who beat the Storm), in fact we were the better team, and if we weren't out on our feet due to a 1 man bench, we quite likely would have beaten them

Will be interesting to see the make up of our 8, 10 and 13.

I'm kind of hoping for:
8. Haas
10. Lodge
13. TPJ

14. Asiata
15. Carrigan
16. Flegler
17. Teo

Would really like to see Carrigan getting a break and starting from the bench, but I can see TPJ and Carrigan keeping their starting spots with Flegler and Lodge taking the bench spots. As it gives a bit of experience on the bench and allows Lodge to ease back into it.

Storm will start with Jbrom, Welch and NAS... which concerns me against a Carrigan, Haas and TPJ middle. Think they will have too much nous for our young guys and get a roll through the middle.

But the storm bench should be pretty light (Kamikami, Lewis?, Schonig) coming up against Lodge, Teo and Flegler. I'd be tempted to give Carrigan a break and have him come in against that bench rather than their starters.

Have the old heads vs their old heads and our young guys against their young guys

In fairness, they've also played three premiership contenders: Rabbitohs, Eels, & Panthers. Still think we'll beat them though.

True but they tend to be the best of the best like Thurston and Smith etc. Souths are correct to only offer him a 1 year extension. Boyd proved how quickly players can fall off a cliff and the folly of giving veterans long contracts.
