PRE-GAME Round 4 - Storm vs Broncos

There's a few on here that I'd happily host at a get together and a game on the big screen...if we find someone with two Mustangs for a cruise that would be great too.

Storm are vulnerable. Very vulnerable.

Problem is, we're not strong enough to exploit that vulnerability yet. We had some good moments against the Bulldogs, especially defensively where we were moving up and hitting them hard. But we still had too many lapses where we just fell back into old habits and a better side would have beaten us.

Hopefully it gives us a confidence boost and we can build on it. I'm not holding my breath, though.

All I ask, don't let it be a blowout. At least be competitive.

Milford and Croft really need to step up in this game. They aren't doing enough and they need to do more.

Yep for sure I agree not expecting a win just hoping for competivity with the top eight teams... that’s my goal for the year continue to compete with the top teams and the wins will come

on the other note, the Storm are very vulnerable 2 straight losses a couple of injuries and they don’t know who’s gonna get them out of it... they’ll be hungry for a win... but with a huge confidence booster and haas and lodge returning from injury, can kevvie get the boys to rise to the occasion and steal a win that really gives us a good foot in the door to just compete with the teams we have in the next few rounds... I reckon if anyone can rev the boys up for a huge game and a huge effort it’s Kev... players have points to prove others have positions to keep... as a team hopefully we can make a statement win, lose or draw that we shouldn’t be taken lightly this year and gain the respect of the rest of the competition

Yeah I'm definitely not confident about this game... and a good result to me is being able to compete with them and not getting embarrassed to the point where the young guys are destroyed mentally. We are going to cop some absolute beltings this year and the media will come at them hard, and the only way to avoid that is if the boys keep turning up and then playing for the full 80.

When it actually comes to how the storm play compared to us I think it will still be a huge miss match unless we play well beyond what we have shown for the last 2-3 years. When you watch the storm they go as hard and fast as they can for as long as they can, but eventually the speed they play at wears them out.

For the broncos to win they will need to weather that initial onslaught and soak it up until the storm fatigue and give us hope... Unfortunately for us it takes about 60mins for the storm to wear themselves out and I just cannot see how we have the defence to limit them during their fast up tempo period. The fear I have is that the storm get to 20-30 points quickly, our heads drop and then the storm just keep on going on with it, which they pretty well do every time they play us.

I don't believe we will be belted. Oh it's possible in truth but I keep saying, KW wants to find the guys in the team who will keep trying no matter the score. I think we will have losses but I just don't see them being 59 nil. Hope I'm right!

Realistically tithe Storm should easily account for us, probably our first 40+ loss for the year. Even without CS this is a huge mismatch in rosters.

Their only real weakness is down Jennings & Smith’s side, Nui will have a nightmare of a night vs Olam.

Here's the real deal :
What we've shown so far in 2021 is that we CAN win this.
Broncos CAN win this.
That said... they can also get blown off the park by 40 points based off 2020 form.

...but..Broncos CAN win this. It's not as hopeless as it was before Round 1.
