i'll trust in the teams decision to go with copes. i hope he goes well otherwise this forum will be going off!

Good to see Gillett start, he is a super player.

I hope that Gillett still has the same impact now that he's starting.

I've got nothing against Copley, but I just don't feel comfortable with him on the wing. He's a much, much better centre IMO.

It's a bit perplexing that Gagai was 18th man last Friday, yet hasn't been named. I'd have thought that was the next logical step...

i suppose it also means beale will stay on the right wing with hodges? he had a great game over that side last week.. maybe its the right side for him to be on.

i believe he was selected because his game was on Sunday while most of the other possible players had games on Saturday

Pretty much spot on.

I don't think Copley is a bad selection really, he's solid enough on the wing.

Gagai would've been my pick though, but i trust Hooks judgement

Ah yeah, good point, Foordy. :handshake: Completely forgot about that.

Still, after signing that new deal last week, Beale confirmed as leaving, Yow Yeh getting injured... it all just seemed to be falling into place for Gagai to land himself a spot in the side!

I would have thought so too, plus he got man of the match for Redcliffe on Sunday. but for all i know Copley has been killing it in the QLD cup and deserves his spot.

Broncs can't afford to be bad first half than came back in the 2nd, they need to play the full 80 or something close to that to beat Dragons. Dragons are also in better form in my opinion, so im favoring them.

Love the fact that Gillett has been named to start.

The joy of that orgasmic news soured by the fact that Copley is playing ahead of Gagai. Copley just strikes me as being a Michaels clone.

Didn't everyone think Beale sucked to begin with? Copely was far too good for NYC, I expect him to be competitive at NRL level once he finds his feet. I found it interesting that Hodges publicly went for Dale over Gagai. Perhaps there is something we don't know?

I can't wait for Parker to come back, hopefully that will push Thaiday back to the right full time. He is half the player through the middle third that he is on the edge. Perhaps it's time to have a look at Glenn in the middle? I'm not sure his ball carry is strong enough, but I would be interested to see how he goes in defence.

I would have preferred Gagai. With Lockyer retired, I'd like us to have some good attacking players out wide to make it easier for the halves.

Parker belongs in the middle, Thaiday on the right, Gillett everywhere.

I'm comfortable with Copley's selection. He's worked very hard and really was solid last year in all his opportunities (bar a couple of shockers, notably the wet game in Perth). Gagai's time will come.

Gillett and Te'o swapping is a good move. I just hope the result isn't that Gillett is less effective and Te'o more effective! LOL

When Parker's back you'd have to think Te'o drops out. No room for 2 back rowers on the bench IMO, and Thaiday's too good to push up front.

Just watched Hoffman's try v Rabbits, you know, the one where he stepped the best player in the world...

What a try! And better, it was our 9, 7 and 1, after a great Civo offload - so much like the set plays the Storm use to such good effect with Smith Cronk and Slater.

Just goes to show what on offload with good support play can do.

Hope it continues with Hoffman coming up more and more.

Unless they opt to play Te'o in the centres and Reed on the wing.
