i'll trust in the teams decision to go with copes. i hope he goes well otherwise this forum will be going off!
I've got nothing against Copley, but I just don't feel comfortable with him on the wing. He's a much, much better centre IMO.
It's a bit perplexing that Gagai was 18th man last Friday, yet hasn't been named. I'd have thought that was the next logical step...
i believe he was selected because his game was on Sunday while most of the other possible players had games on Saturday

Ah yeah, good point, Foordy. :handshake: Completely forgot about that.
Still, after signing that new deal last week, Beale confirmed as leaving, Yow Yeh getting injured... it all just seemed to be falling into place for Gagai to land himself a spot in the side!
Didn't everyone think Beale sucked to begin with? Copely was far too good for NYC, I expect him to be competitive at NRL level once he finds his feet. I found it interesting that Hodges publicly went for Dale over Gagai. Perhaps there is something we don't know?
I can't wait for Parker to come back, hopefully that will push Thaiday back to the right full time. He is half the player through the middle third that he is on the edge. Perhaps it's time to have a look at Glenn in the middle? I'm not sure his ball carry is strong enough, but I would be interested to see how he goes in defence.
I'm comfortable with Copley's selection. He's worked very hard and really was solid last year in all his opportunities (bar a couple of shockers, notably the wet game in Perth). Gagai's time will come.
Gillett and Te'o swapping is a good move. I just hope the result isn't that Gillett is less effective and Te'o more effective! LOL
When Parker's back you'd have to think Te'o drops out. No room for 2 back rowers on the bench IMO, and Thaiday's too good to push up front.
