Didn't everyone think Beale sucked to begin with? Copely was far too good for NYC, I expect him to be competitive at NRL level once he finds his feet. I found it interesting that Hodges publicly went for Dale over Gagai. Perhaps there is something we don't know?
I can't wait for Parker to come back, hopefully that will push Thaiday back to the right full time. He is half the player through the middle third that he is on the edge. Perhaps it's time to have a look at Glenn in the middle? I'm not sure his ball carry is strong enough, but I would be interested to see how he goes in defence.
Apparently Hala will return for Redcliffe this weekend against the Sunny Coast. Makes sense to give him a few hit outs there before he makes his return to the NRL.
Don't know if he'll get a spot in the team this year without injuries, don't see who would drop off for him to make the side.

Obviously it depends on form but Hala is the ideal bench weapon especially given Petro, Hannant and McGuire are capable of big minutes. I'd rather see Hala play 15 minutes as opposed to Anderson play 15 minutes.
Gillett and Te'o swapping is a good move. I just hope the result isn't that Gillett is less effective and Te'o more effective.
This is my main concern.
Gillett provides so much impact from the bench, and T'eo goes ok in the initial 'softening up' period that i'm kinda surprised that Hook would think about changing their roles ??
MATT Gillett has spoken of the excitement he is feeling at getting his first start of the year for the Broncos.
Gillett was yesterday named to play lock against the Dragons at Suncorp Stadium this Friday, replacing Ben Te'o.
