Is Hala fit again yet? I would of thought he was close to having a bench spot before getting hurt. Anderson is going alright and is probably the safer option ATM, although i reckon Hala has the bigger potential.

Apparently Hala will return for Redcliffe this weekend against the Sunny Coast. Makes sense to give him a few hit outs there before he makes his return to the NRL.

Didn't everyone think Beale sucked to begin with? Copely was far too good for NYC, I expect him to be competitive at NRL level once he finds his feet. I found it interesting that Hodges publicly went for Dale over Gagai. Perhaps there is something we don't know?

I can't wait for Parker to come back, hopefully that will push Thaiday back to the right full time. He is half the player through the middle third that he is on the edge. Perhaps it's time to have a look at Glenn in the middle? I'm not sure his ball carry is strong enough, but I would be interested to see how he goes in defence.

I don't think anyone thought Beale was crap, most arguing agsint him(including me) is for him at wing but with Yow Yeh out he now has to be t wing for the rest of the season.

Where has Hodges publcly backed Copley? Do you have a link? Gagai has been outstanding in the lower grades and has been our 18th man, don't understand why he wouldnt be next in line, that's a bit confusing...

Happy that Gillett has finally been rewarded with a starting position, hopefully he kills it this week.

Don't know if he'll get a spot in the team this year without injuries, don't see who would drop off for him to make the side.

Obviously it depends on form but Hala is the ideal bench weapon especially given Petro, Hannant and McGuire are capable of big minutes. I'd rather see Hala play 15 minutes as opposed to Anderson play 15 minutes.

I'd say he'll get a run during Origin. With experience I reckon he is going to be a great prop. If that happens, he and McGuire are going to make a fearsome duo.

Hey, don't need to tell me that, I would take pretty much anyone over Anderson haha.
Big Hala looks like a machine, if he can get his fitness up there, say at Hannant's level, then he could be extremely good for us.

Gillett and Te'o swapping is a good move. I just hope the result isn't that Gillett is less effective and Te'o more effective.

This is my main concern.

Gillett provides so much impact from the bench, and T'eo goes ok in the initial 'softening up' period that i'm kinda surprised that Hook would think about changing their roles ??

Thaiday heritage

Seems kind of similar to our heritage jerseys from recent years. I like it - but not worth $170.

Agree the $170 price is ridiculous

Imma getting it. But not for $170.

Pretty excited to see how Gillette goes in a starting role. I'm sure he will do a great job.

if you dont have last years heritage jersey its worth it, as its our best looking jersey since we went the no collar style IMO.

the $170 pricetag is the same as every regular jersey pretty much isnt it?

I don't think Gillett's impact has anything to do with running/defending against tired forwards. His abilities to set up/score points, and defend should be there from the start of the game, unlike T'eo whose brute strength is more effective against tiring players, and his lack of agility is less of a problem.

I am so pumped for tonight’s game!! Can't wait to knock off work, knock back a couple of cold ones and head to suncorp!! I have a feeling it is gonna be a cracker!!! Hopefully Wallace and Norman can dominate Horn**** and ****ward. Also looking for some big hits from Teo on Gillett on the likes of Prior, Creagh, Hunt, Weyman and Debelin. And Hoffman to completely outplay Morris at fback. And hodges to tear Beau Scott a new ahole.

Although I think the highlight might be the presentation of the Broncos 1992 GF winning team along with a Tina Turner impersonator belting out Simply the Best!!!

I can already taste the overpriced watered down golds!

Oh yeah, and St George Can't Play!!!

I'm very worried about this. We really need to start well. If we start like we have for the last 4 rounds, we'll probably lose.
