POST GAME Round 5 - Sea Eagles vs Broncos

Justified posts. Klein is scum.
Nope. Every fucking time we lose there is bitching about the refs. BHQ isn't unique in that regard mind you. Every club has fans that believes there is some grand conspiracy against them.

There was maybe one or two bad calls made in general play and a video ref call that I disagree with, but as far as bad reffing goes this won't be an especially memorable evening.

Should of been 24 nil first half, the fact Cherry Evans attempt to tackle was considered being taken out and crofts was considered a defensive decision is plain robbery.

It honestly felt like every 50/50 call was going Manlys way from that point on.

That 6 again call is way too easy to manipulate. What is stopping players from just intentionally holding down longer on the 1st or 2nd tackle to give away the restart early? No chance the ref gives away any more than 2 in the one possession.

I would like to see an official apology from the NRL for the disgraceful and incorrect reffing decisions which cost up the game. Of course that is a dream, it will never happen. The Carrigan strip was a travesty, what a disgraceful decision. And i'd like to see that possible Turbo shoulder charge again, did look quite iffy.
Don't hold your breathe ... Annesley will forget it happened

I think if there is a shoulder charge allowed it should be that type of one. I also think he had some arm in there. Carrigan strip was unlucky but right call but there were at least 8 otherbad ones to make up for it

I am not too sure, but are other teams getting 9 consecutive penalties back to back?
I have not payed enough attention to the reffing in other games to compare it to.

I think it’s obvious that fitness is an issue. Creates a cycle of defending and making errors/giving away penalties hence becoming more fatigued.

I don’t think I’ve ever blamed a ref and I won’t do so tonight entirely either but their were a lot of questionable calls that made the already low odds of a poorly performing team winning impossible.

Oates was pretty good in second row. Mild tried toward the end but I don’t know where he was the first 65 minutes. Croft had a mixed bag with the boot but it was alright.

Coates showed some improvement but still quite raw. Looking bigger and stronger though, will be a great talent eventually.

Staggs is rocks and diamonds. Will go down as just another Krisnan Inu, Joey Lailua type if he doesn’t sort out his brain snaps.

They risk the sin bin

Which ones were incorrect?

The penalty on Carrigan hasn’t been called a penalty for at least 2 seasons. And the escort by Coates is just an atrocious call.
Manly were reffed back into the game.
Escort call was right. Coates needs to be there first and stand his ground. He wasnt and didnt

I'm not complaining tonight other than I'm willing to give Milf one more shot, he finally tried.

The lads tried their butts off and just got so unfairly penalised out of the game it wasn't funny. There just isn't any consistency, yet despite that, they were in it up to their eyeballs right until the death. They made some errors but I believe that was down to blatantly awful refereeing and desperation, I don't mind seeing that.

Well done lads, hold your chins up this week.

There were some punishing calls in that game, from both Ref and touch judges. I thought there were a few times we should have received a penalty in attack. For me though the most glaring decision was the video ref's disallowed try on Boyd and the opposite decision for Manly.
We made some tired mistakes, but really we'd have won that game with a decent refereeing performance. Without a doubt.
