Round 5 - Titans vs. Broncos - Pre Match Discussion

I initially picked the Broncos for this one based upon their efforts last week. Although with our current injury list now without Thiaday, still a cloud over Hodges, our patchy start to the season and the fact that the Titans feel like they have a point to prove in this one has made me change my tip to the Titans. I'm really hoping that the Bronc's fire an win this one as someone stated previously 1-5 with the Cowboys up next does not bode well. You can't win the premiership in April, but you can damn well lose any chance to make the 8, let alone play in one.

Yes, I remember at the start of 2011 and all the talk was on whether the Titans can go one better, and whether the Broncos could recover from their first finals miss in 20 years and the sacking of the coach....

Result? Broncos went within a game of the GF and Titans got the spoon.

A couple of late changes for the Titans.

Sezer out with Bird going to 5/8.

Taylor to start in Birds place.

I think this change seriously helps our cause.

I still maintain that on last week's form, this is a better than even chance. If not, then this team is facing serious headaches

10-10 at halftime in the NYC, tryscorers for us are Ashley Taylor and Caleb Timu who scored to equalise going into halftime from an offload from Francis Molo.

16-14 at about the 53th minute, Titans scored first in the second half but the Broncos hit back through Brett Greinke and converted by Ashley Taylor.

Ashley Taylor bags another try for himself and converts to make it 22-14 with about 20 minutes to go.

Sounds like he's having a strong game - difficult to judge even with statistics in-front of me but I reckon he might provide the structure the boys have sorely been lacking.

Timu has bagged his 7th try of the season so far too.

Titans hit back through a try to Mitch Ardler, not sure if its converted.

Excited to see Hala and Slyney play.

Also glad the games best player, J Hodges is back.

This is a closer game then you would think, all thats deciding it so far is conversions.

Sorry, having trouble getting a current score in the NYC, will post when I get it.

And just as I speak its 22-22 in the 74th minute.

Not converted, few minutes left, still time for someone to win.

And according to the Broncos website the Broncos get the win on the siren!!!! Not sure who or how.
