I agree with you for the most part on Anderson Big Pete,so far from what I have seen of Anderson this season his impressed me and on form deserves to be in our 17 something I would certainly not have said previously, as far as a regular starting prop goes I'm not convinced of that, theres been doubt of Thaiday's ability to play at prop but I think he showed against the Storm he has it in him to do so and to succeed, Anderson also has shown his handy to come on from the bench and maintain that level needed so I see no need for him to start, particularly with Hannant starting to show some form and when both Thaiday and McGuire are back I think his best suited on the bench. I think our prop rotation looks far stronger at fullstrength with Hannant, Thaiday, Mcguire and Anderson and possibly even Hala if he was to hold a spot, then taking thaiday out of that.

Having said all of that, here's Anderson's chance to impress and I'm looking forward for a change to seeing what he serves up, its a nice change :thumbup1:

Ideally, if Anderson plays well, I'd rather he start over McGuire with Thaiday shifting into the backrow over Gillett.

People underestimate just how much size plays a role in the forwards.

GC and Pete, do my eyes deceive me? You guys are going soft!

Whatcha talking about ning? :001_tt2:

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR AVATAR!!!!!!!!!!! OH LORDYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

In all seriousness though, Anderson's performance last Friday was a decent improvement on what he usually dishes up - even though he still had to make his compulsory mistake.

Still has a long way to go with me though. I do hope he can keep on improving, because he's seems like a real good egg, and as has been mentioned in this thread, we really need another decent prop off the bench.

I agree about moving Thaiday back to the 2nd row and Gillett to the bench, but I'd do that to start with both McGuire and Hannant in the front row. Yeah, Anderson is a bit bigger, but McGuire is undoubtedly better, probably out fittest front rower too, and I'd just prefer starting with your best front rowers.

I honestly didn't like what I saw from McGuire in the first two games. Not to write him off, but if form permits I think he should have to work his way back into the starting side.

TITANS V BRONCOS
Ashley Harrison (concussion) and Brad Takairangi (hamstring) have been cleared to play this weekend, with Luke O'Dwyer and Steve Michaels to drop off the extended bench. Sam Thaiday (suspension) has been replaced in the starting side by Scott Anderson and Alex Glenn will be captain. Nick Slyney is expected to take the open bench spot. Josh Hoffman (foot) may also be ruled out and will be assessed this afternoon, while Justin Hodges (hamstring) has been cleared to play.

ON form, if the side continues to improve even slightly on the attack shown v Storm and doesn't lose control of the middle, I can't see why a win is not on the cards.

A loss here by more than 6 points will be seriously disappointing and shows last week was a fluke, and that doesn't bode well at all for the future.

this is a huge game. 1 win from 5 would not be good and going into next week cowboys will be tough. i've no doubt they will bounce back to form this weekend and thrash penrith so we really need to win tomorrow

More than anything, i hope this game points out to Hook that Thaiday is NOT a prop, but a hard running backrower.

I would have thought that to have had a grip on the mantle as the pre-eminent premiership threat in se qld you would at least be expected to have finished higher.

its talking about this year not last year.

To strengthen a grip implies they had a grip to begin with, the gushing over the titans is ridiculous, they have won two more games than we have after only 4 rounds. It's an excuse by Sydney journos to wax lyrical about an apparent Broncos demise.

Bingo!

yes the 'grip' on being the pre-eminent premiership threat in SE qld in 2013. winning tonight would strengthen that.

whys everyone get so cut when someone says something bad about the broncs.

i'm all for people talking us down it usually brings out the best in teh team.
