PRE-GAME Round 5 - Titans vs Broncos

Three weeks? that's pretty specific.

Definitely indicative that we've got a clear path of progression planned out for him, alternating from intensity/experience of first grade with playing bigger minutes in NYC. Lets him develop ask aspects of his game without burning him out.

I hate Thaiday at prop ... Is our forward depth really so bad that we have to play Thaiday at a position he has always sucked at.

IMO, we would have been better of playing Parker at prop. He doesn't play any different any way. Thaiday could then start at lock.

Not arguing the logic of your arguement but the way I see it, it's Wayne putting Sam to the test.

Parker is assured of his role in the team by virtue of his consistency, irrespective of the number on his back. Thaiday still has something to prove in terms of both quality and consistency. If he's genuine, he'll rise to the occasion, as he seems to have done from the bench.

Awesome, ive been waiting to see Garbutts debut. I hope he has a blinder

Not sold on Dodds , yes he is a good defender but gets smashed when taking the ball up. I'd like to see Molo get a go not the 4min hook played him last year.

I'd imagine Thaiday won't play the whole game at prop seeing as there's 3 props on the bench. He'll be shifted into 2nd row or lock at some point one would assume.

Hope Garbutt takes the kick returns!

Thaiday has been playing in the middle off the bench anyway.

His try in the 9s was pretty good too. Hope he has something like this lined up for the weekend:

However I am expecting that the Titans will have done their homework on him and have a couple of good defenders covering him. He didnt manage these sorts of runs the last two times he played against Wynnum but he was still hard to stop and offloaded plenty.

I hope there's only one Broncos kick off return during the whole game!

So you don't want us to score any tries?

I thought maybe Cult3 was implying that after Garbutt returned a kick off for a try, the Titans would give up kicking off to us and instead concede the penalty for out on the full.

This is exactly what I was getting at. Good save :P

Thaiday's only redeeming features at the moment are his passing game and .... his passing game. I am so disappointed that he makes metres by falling over creatively

Those who have been to Skilled - where is the best place to sit? Is there any undercover seating if it rains etc?

Just looked at the Intrust Cup teams for this week and Garbutt has been named for the Magpies...just seemed a bit weird.

The whole stadium is covered, but in case of rain, you're better off higher up any of the stands, much like Suncorp really.
