Croft and Dearden had a go three times last year and honestly, they weren't too bad in patches. They even had a few good periods. Considering they started against Melbourne, followed by Souths and then the Raiders. All good teams.
The first half against Mel. 14-8
Second half Souths , held them to 6 against the Broncos 4 points
First half vs the Raiders the Broncos led at half time 8-6
Croft and Dearden went okay for decent length periods and both showed good touches and execution at times. I do remember thinking that both guys could play the game well but didn't think superstar, I thought them capable. We did lose two of the games by large scores and the Souths game was the closest at 28-10 but back then we has a severely decimated team.
This may not be a bloodbath loss. I think the halves will do a fair job with mistakes no doubt but if we have good forward work and work hard in defence it might be an honourable loss.
