Kevvie is all over the place atm, says he thought Milford had his best game on the weekend & then he drops him. It’s becoming a pattern, he’s done the same thing with Dearden. He’s just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. I wouldn’t be surprised if milford ends up on the bench.
I think he was feeling bad, Milf looked defeated after the game on the weekend. I don't think he wanted to put the slipper in while he was down. Probably felt bad about what he said in the week also. It's delicate, Milf does not strike me as the most resilient bloke mentally. There is also a suicide issue in polanesian communities when men feel like they have failed their families.

Kev is a bloke that cares, he is not the most media savvy bloke in my opinion. Has a sense of loyalty about him. I think back to when Laurie was under fire as NSW coach. He stood up for him and had a heated moment on 360 from memory. So I see that presser as him feeling like Milf just needed somebody to back him in the public domain. Kev wouldn't care one bit that it made him look like a fool.

In private they have come to the right decision. Milf needs a a sit down and the team needs a fresh look at what others can do without him on the park. Hopefully he sits out completely so we can carry an effective bench.

You have to appluad Kev as sitting around running out the same team each week isn't going to fix this. 2021 is a year to see who can step up and play quality footy week in week out.

True. Very good player ... in a very god team, 17 players who put in 100% every week, support each other, play for each other, have worked plays together, execute precisely and at speed, defend for 80 mins, week in and week out - what happens to a well coached side that's largely been together for at least a few years. Cleary owns the structures, Luai floats around working with and off him.

Makes every player's job a whole lot easier when the whole team is a functioning unit and not bunch of individuals who still have trouble with the basics.

If Kevvie thinks subbing Croft for Milford (or Dearden) will make a difference ... nah. For mine, it looks like Walters is experimenting without any regard for the results this year. Maybe that's a good idea. I don't agree.

It needed to be done but man, Kevvie is really looking like a Seibold 2.0, man I hope he comes good because unlike that 1.0 idiot, Kevvie is very likable.

I don't really have a problem with Kev saying what he did and then dropping him. We're getting what we wanted, Milf out of the side. It's just man management, are y'all expecting Kev to turn upto the post presser with a voodoo doll of Milf?

Genius move by Kev, Hunt and Milford to go on a rampage together forcing Kev to bring Hunt into the team.

It had to be done. For Milfs benefit as much as the teams, he just looks completely shot and disinterested. I'm also keen to see what it does for the teams shape in general. The "pass it to Milf" tactic is now gone.

And if Kevvie is dropping him you know that in a presser through the week he will be backing him to come back into the team.

He'll say something like "100% we are backing Milf and have no doubt that he will come back into the team. He's a very important member of the squad, but he just has some things to work on, which we've spoken about, and we feel it's best for him to do it down in qcup."

So if this is the case, I imagine this will be the side:

1. Isaako
2. Mead
3. Farnworth
4. Kennar
5. Coates
6. Dearden
7. Croft
8. Haas
9. Turpin
10. Lodge
11. Glenn (c)
12. Riki
13. Carrigan

14. Paix
15. Flegler
16. TPJ
17. Asiata

I'd go with this:

1. Isaako
2. Mead
3. Farnworth
4. Arthars
5. Coates
6. Dearden
7. Croft
8. Carrigan
9. Turpin
10. Lodge
11. Haas
12. Riki
13. Asiata

14. Hetherington (I know he can't be picked)
15. Kennedy
16. Pangai Jr
17. Bullemor

I just feel like this is the most balanced side from what is available.

I don't rate Arthurs as a centre, too lightweight for mine. IMO he's an adequate winger or a break-glass fullback, bout it.

He went well last year in his 2 games. Kennar is such a plodder in the centres. He's ok on the wing but he has no chance there. If he stays in the centres, the Panthers will smash that edge as well as the fragile one on the other side.

He played fullback in cup this week 1910 mentioned

If any of them try that shit on Thursday, I hope the likes of Haas, Lodge and TPJ put them on their asses. Don't even care about sin bins or suspensions. Don't roll over for these *****.

They will, we don't have any firey players in our team and understandably so, every time they try it, they get a phantom penalty or ridiculous suspension.

yep? but i wouldn't want him at FB for the broncos full time unless there were injuries. I just don't see a lot in him.
