Milf is just playing like he does not enjoy the game anymore, it's become a job, he can lift himself here and there and I'd say he still has the talent but ultimately the enjoyment and passion for the game is not there and hasn't been for a while.

He's probably never gotten over the '15 Grand Final. Hunt sort of has, but Milford has only gone downhill since.

Kevvie is all over the place atm, says he thought Milford had his best game on the weekend & then he drops him. It’s becoming a pattern, he’s done the same thing with Dearden. He’s just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. I wouldn’t be surprised if milford ends up on the bench.

Shut down Cleary. Get in his face and smash him, don’t give him time to put in good kicks and don’t give him time to control the game. Do that and Panthers will go into panic mode. They rely heavily on Cleary.

In fairness, he's not playing well by all reports and the limited game time I've watched he hasn't been good outside of the first half of the first game. We've tried Milf & Croft and Milf & Dearden it's probably time to see how Croft & Dearden go together. I believe they'll be fucking terrible but it's time to have a look anyway.


I think Milf needs a Taylor-esque break from the game. It's just unfortunate for him that its in the final year of his contract that he desperately needs it.

The thing is, you could play Croft and Dearden they'd likely produce the same results as Milf/Croft or Milf/Dearden, except they cost less combined than what Milf costs alone, so you can use all that leftover money to invest in other areas and have a much better team overall.

This is the core of the problem, Milf is just far too expensive to just be the POTY from three years ago...

Imagine being Croft. First you play 90% of the game, then get pulled off with 10 min remaining. Next game sent to the bench with only 10 mins of game time. Now potentially starting half. Muscial halves would be messing with their heads. No matter what you are told, being benched or being brought up to replace someone else would be frustrating.

No matter if we like, agree or admit to it - we have coaching problems.

Sounds like he's sending milf back to cup to get some confidence back, niu is apparently dropped also. Hopefully Copley in or Kenner inside Coates, either way a bit more experience in the backline.

True. Very good player ... in a very good team, 17 players who put in 100% every week, support each other, play for each other, have worked plays together, execute precisely and at speed, defend for 80 mins, week in and week out - what happens to a well coached side that's largely been together for at least a few years. Cleary owns the structures, Luai floats around working with and off him.

Makes every player's job a whole lot easier when the whole team is a functioning unit and not bunch of individuals who still have trouble with the basics.

If Kevvie thinks subbing Croft for Milford (or Dearden) will make a difference ... nah. For mine, it looks like Walters is experimenting without any regard for the results this year. Maybe that's a good idea. I don't agree.
