POST GAME [Round 7, 2022] Broncos vs Bulldogs

So the take on this game from the fans here is that Kevvie can’t coach, Reynolds was the difference and we didn’t defend well.

In fact, the only reason we didn’t concede more was because it was the Bulldogs, nothing to do with the efforts by the players, all those held ups and such were just a mere coincidence, apparently.
You said it sarcastically but everything you said is accurate.

38 missed tackles. Sharks would’ve put 40 on us that first half.

We are a terribly coached side and we won tonight in spite of it, just through sheer talent.

I will give Kevvie credit though, TMM was good, not brilliant or anything but he did everything asked of him, I am happy to be soo wrong. I do think he would be more suited to 5/8 though.

I don’t think gamble offered anything too different to Billy.

Riki has gone backwards, he’s just a defender now, he never runs holes anymore, it’s a waste of his size & skill.

Haas is becoming a scratching pole for the defence, he always draws 3 or 4 players in for a waltz and just gives the defence time to set their line before a slow PTB. He either needs less minutes and more impact, including running angles and find a step here & there. Or he needs to develop a pass & offload. The couple of times he did manage a pass tonight something happened. It sounds weird, and it’s hard to judge based on the side being shuffled around again, but I think we looked better last week without him, at least with the ball anyway.

Kevvie should be tapped on the shoulder soooner rather than later, we can’t go into another season looking like a pub footy side.

We need more set plays. It’s Kevvie’s forte

An insanely good second half followed our worst half of the year. Arey was elite, TMM was very good for his first game back, Paix was extremely good. Gamble was shit, Walters was shocking.
Gamble wasn't that bad, his kick to pangai was crap but he's really good at running deep into the line and then passing which then creates space for the outside men which Herbie clearly made the most of 🤣. I thought gamble didn't over play his hand so that was good

That first 40-50mins really needs to be addressed, I really hope it doesn’t get lost from the win.
That second half from Reyno was 10/10.
We don’t win that game if Reyno wasn’t in the side.
Special mentions to Cobbo, TMM, Haas & Paix.
Id be going a Paix/Turps 9/14 moving forward. Billy really shat the bed.

We were ordinary in that first half but you can’t just dismiss the defensive efforts because it’s the Bulldogs.

Years gone by it didn’t matter who it was, we weren’t even turning up. This club is moving the right way, I don’t really know how it can be even disputed and it starts with the coach.

I don't care how well he played. I can't abide that haircut.

after a rough couple of weeks and against a hungry doggies team we were always going to have to weather the storm , add to that the spine changes we did well to over come it.
ohh and the negative ***** can jog on , sick of hearing your shit.

Great to finish it out with the Win. Reynolds was the best on park without doubt. Gamble got better as the game carried on. TMM could be the answer, he has more control with ball in hand but will need a few weeks to get up to game fitness.

Walters was very poor sadly to say. Paix must start from here on out, he needs the chance to make it his. I don't know what Walters was doing but he was absolutely clueless and I wonder if the late change had something to do with it. Walters Sr couldn't help himself and pulled the nepotism card. Stupid Kev.

Great to see Cobbo jag a couple, will do wonders for the confidence.

The Dogs were offside all night and I am so happy that the boys got over the bastards in the end.

3. Reynolds
2. Cobbo
1. Paix

I thought like usual when Gamble got into a players head(dufty) they proceed to shit the bed and **** their team.

it's happened multiple times now, it can't be a coincidence.
