POST GAME Round 7 - Broncos vs Titans

Well you need a massive hug. I'm not the only one who slags off players for dumb plays. They are paid professionals and sometimes they don't deserve it with the decisions they make.
Fucking hell you're harsh ...
If you were the coach, every player would be dropped and you'd be left with no one in your squad

Did anyone see what happen to Copley?? Looked like he fell over trying to make the tackle and next minute he's off in la la land?
Smack his head on the ground or something?
Kodi broke him...

What's left to say about Gillett? Our position on the ladder could be much worse without him. Absolute super star.

People saying Boyd went a bit missing in attack seem to be forgetting he threw beautiful passes to Roberts for his first two tries. Next a good controlling half, he could very well make a decent 5/8th.

I thought Milf was good for a guy still trying to learn certain parts of the game. He did a good job with lead kicking duties and he's starting to get used to dealing with being a playmaker and a runner. Be patient with him and I think towards the end of the season he will be a much better rounded player and a genuine match winner. I have a lot of faith in the kid. Kniko was good without being amazing and I think as he warms into the position and gains confidence he could be very handy.

Ese Ese has been my favourite young player all year. What a future this kid has. He's outstanding for such an inexperienced forward.

I think Moga has to go and Mead deserves to be in the team. How you go about making those two changes, I don't have the answer.

Kahu had his worst game that I can remember. He had a shocker. When a player as consistent as Jordy stinks it up that bad, all you can do is laugh with the poor bloke. An anomoly, Im sure.

If you showed someone that game with the score covered and the tries removed and asked them to guess who won, 90% of people would say the Broncos. We looked in control the whole time despite the Titans scoring a couple magical tries that made us have to rely on some magic of our own to win.

- a lot to improve but a fun game to watch. I enjoyed every second of it.
I too am really warming to Ese Ese. Still not sold with McGuire at Lock to be honest.

Watching the replay at the moment, and definitely agree with this. Ese'ese is going very well, but more importantly, I think the Moose experiment at lock should come to an end.
I've lost count of how many plays have died with him, that would've gone on with a different player.

Who would you replace him with Porthoz Porthoz ?
At the start of the season I preferred Blair.

No way would I write off Moga yet, but I think he just needs a break.
He was written off long before he joined the Broncos and for good reason. Bennett traditionally always has an underdog in the lineup, Minto, Emmett at Stg, Waddell at Newc. He won't drop Moga for awhile yet.

Blair would be a better choice imo, but I would prefer a combo of Arrow and TPJ, with the bulk of the minutes going to Jai until TPJ builds a motor big enough to mimic what Taumalolo does for the Cows...

im not sure replacing an origin rep with a toiler in arrow is a good idea. arrow is a worker but thats it.
issue with tpj though is his lateral defense. doesnt get shown up much when he plays 20 to 25 mins but he gets caught out when he plays longer minutes. mcguire is the best option at present.

Just don't pass the ball to McGuire on tackle 4/5. Looking at you, McCullough. Unless it's a part of some master plan, he can always cut him out.

This has nothing to do with McGuire's quality as a player, but whether he's suited for the lock role. Rep or not, he simply isn't.
In fact, he's more of a worker than Arrow, who at least has some good offloads in his arsenal.

Regardless, the idea is to allow TPJ to grow into the role, with Arrow filling the minutes TPJ can't play... yet.

A really hard eighty minute contest. Hats off to the Tits for a great effort. They put a lot of pressure on us which did produce some errors. What about that last kick from Peats on the bell , and the great save by Mead!

Don't honestly know what we do with Moga but Mead must be in this team. I think Kodi could work out at halfback . Although he did not take control tonight , I thought he was solid.

Thee forward battle was pretty ferocious , but I think our pack ended slightly on top. I think Sam Thaiday has been a bit below par the last few weeks. I would like to see more hit ups from him. He looks a little overweight ATM.

Is Milf our only back up kicker ?

Stop the fat shaming.

I love the fact that Roberts gifted Milford a try.

He didn't need to pass him the ball, Roberts was guaranteed to score himself after the only Titans player there to stop him slipped over. But instead of running for the line, he passes it to Milford.

Sigh... Yep, it has to be done. Just not good enough. I wanted him to come good, but it's beyond him. He should not be given such a golden opportunity anymore. He has done his dash.

My knees hurt when watching moga run. Especially sideways movement, it's bone on bone grinding.
