Oates will continue to enjoy WBs support in my humble opinion. I'd expect he will be on the bench and WB will shift things to suit.
If Kahu does come back, he's an automatic selection at fullback IMO. Maranta still has the wood over Oates in that he's safe (at least that's what I suspect, going off the team selections the last couple of weeks). I can't see anything but:
Kahu
Maranta
Copley
Hodges
Reed
I can see your point but playing in the position he is ,he is unlikely to have WB ask for more. It's the formula WB and a few others employ, after the kick whichever position picks up the first return, wingers or fullback, the next two hit ups are one of those players. I'd nearly believe that all of Oates hit ups have come from that scenario. It would seem if he did more then he would be, in a sense be shaming his forwards . I know Wendell used to do the odd hit up but that was when he could see the forwards struggling. I would expect Oates to do likewise but our forwards have been holding their own.Oates offers so much more than Reed.
Most of his runs really seem to inflict pain on his tacklers. Strong...determined. I'd like to see him get more involved in helping out the forwards by taking more hit ups. If I were WB this would be the one thing, right now, I would tell him he needs to lift his game on.

Think we can take it to them. Stylistically, we match up well enough. They've got a good roster but aren't a high flair team like Eels + Warriors or straight power game like Rabbitohs. I suspect it will be a case of who settles into the grind better and maintain the intensity. In that respect, I believe we're superior.
If we can see the return of the line speed and aggressive defence we did against the Roosters, we're well on the way. They're bound to crack if they try to take us on in a war of attrition
Panthers have been far from convincing, though several key players out through injury has a lot to do with it. Even if they have one or two, they're likely to be underdone. Segeyaro is the only one that worries me, to be honest.
Exciting things about the Broncos yet to come:
1. Hunt has steadied 2014 performance - he could get better
2. Boyd is yet to return
3. Milford is compeltely under utilised.
Get those 3 firing (and the Storm eliminated from the finals race early - we won't beat them in the finals) and you've got a premiership force right there.
apparently there was an interview on 7 news tonight with Boyd, and he said he could be back for the Panthers game ... good news if true, did anyone catch the news.
also someone saying on facebook (so take it with a grain of salt) that Bennett is not happy with Kahu, he may not get back in the side ... shit news if truw

What isn't he happy with?
The problem?
He isn't Boyd.
If the reason is true (I don't believe it), then I completely agree! Let him tough it out in reserves again. The problem we've had had for the last few years is mediocrity in everything we do, on field excellence starts off the field, and this type of stuff behind the scenes that we never see is much more important than the 80 minutes per week on the field.she's not really saying ... says it is talk around the club, then says "Wayne expects focus to be on rehab. I think he'll be the one left out"
Kahu would be an expert with rehab by now, so i don't bye it ... just thought i'd pass on something i saw on facebook
