[Rumour] Chris Sandow ---> Broncos

Hunts never had a game. He is a back up hooker at best. Yes he tries hard but the Hunt experiment is over. He has had over 20 starts in first grade and he is still not up to scratch.

Hunt is clearly not an organiser, and he was forced to try to be one last night. He played better with Prince in the halves because Prince was one.

I still think there's a chance he could come good, but he needs a proper partner AND a proper fullback to help out.

No to Sandow!

Very hot and cold player, hardly what we need. Also likely to be an enabler when it comes to pie binging....

Besides 5 minutes in one the 9's games, when has Hunt ever been hot. I would take a hot and cold Sandow over a bitterly cold Hunt.

Hunt can tackle

You really don't pick halves because they can tackle, they are too valuable in attack for that. You pick the best available attacking halves and protect them.

Yes. In a perfect world we would've perfected the locker clone machine by now. To replace a serviceable 7 with good defence with an unknown or sandow with no defence . Is change for change sake. Niko's and Strasser defence is not up to standard.

It's change because Hoffman in the halves is the worst thing currently in Rugby League.

I'd love to know how you figure that. For one his kicking game could have really helped us.

When Canterbury were attacking our line in the second half their forwards would've busted through Sandow like a knife through butter. In attack he would've made some difference ill admit that.

But a change to something worse is likely.

I couldn't disagree more. Hoffman being in the halves is just an embarrassment to Rugby League. I'd sooner put Glenn or Gillett in the halves before Hoffman, and we know how poor they were there in the past.

It does not have to be Sandow (I don't like Sandow either). Why are we the ONLY side that's afraid to give rookies a chance? Put Strasser or Cullen there if you don't want Nikorima.

Put Lowrie there before Hoffman too.

Like they did with Hoffman?

I don't care too much about defense in the halves ... as long as the halves are capable of setting up/scoring more tries than they ley in ... which is why i don't want Sandow anywhere near out club.

besides to make it worth our while in giving him a shot, we would have to get him for close to 100k. do you guys really see Parramatta paying over 400k of his salary ... I don't

If we're going to take a punt on a player in the halves, all of these would be ahead of Sandow for mine, in no particular order:

- Strasser
- Nikorima
- Cullen
- Paia'aua
- Kahu
- Berrell
- Taylor (with his arm in a sling)

Probably half of the Qcup halves as well.

Lockyer wasn't exactly a great defender either.

But he was still better than Sandow. plus his attacking prowess was easily able to compensate for his deficiencies in defense

Basically, I think I've said it a bunch of times before, but just to reiterate: Hoffman can't be in the halves, and shouldn't be at fullback either. I'd prefer to just throw one of the rookies in there (I'd personally go with Strasser or Cullen, as they have at least some QLD Cup experience), but if Hook just wants experienced players, I would sign Sandow just to get Hoffman out of there.
