Sack Griffin/New Coach Discussion

I'm beyond even trying to defend him anymore. Still can't use a bench, that is simply amazing.
I literally can't get my head around that.

I just don't understand. Every week we dip off from the 60th onward, bench still doesn't get used.

He's worried about not having quality player's on the field, but we actually have a pretty decent bench compared to others in the comp. I'd rather a fresh Oates for 20-30 mins than a tired Glenn, Thaiday Or Gillett doing sweet FA.

and if you want "quality" players on the field at the end of the game well here's a newsflash: get oates et al into the game early! oh and you know what happens then? the quality players that took a bit more of a break in the middle of the game WILL BE FRESH at the end when it matters

Well if that doesn't sum it all up with a big red ribbon, I don't know what does? How many of you would still be employed in your current position if you were successful 40% of the time. I employ people and I can say if someone got the job done that infrequently I would show them the door. Times up Griffin. You accept defeat way to easily. If you want to be everyone's best friend than join a fraternity or something but leave the coaching to someone with a sack that can face a tough decision now and then.

It started with that 18-0 loss to the Cowboys just after the 2nd Origin. We were on fire for the first part of 2012.

I like Griffin but he definitely needs to make some changes. Changes in the team, game plan and tactics. Say what you will, he is definitely loyal to his players and it kinda resonates with me.

I work with young people. People say you do have favourites (and it's often true) but favouritism needs to be tempered with the courage to realise when they are just using you up. I fear that's the case at the Broncos. Griffin has shown a lot of faith and loyalty to players for a few years now and they have not paid him back with consistent, quality performances. I really hope it doesn't spell the end of him but at the end of the day he's their coach - not their mate. There is a line there and he needs to act accordingly.

A few have come good - Hunt and Macca (Oates would too if given half a chance), but yes, clearly change needs to be made and it needs to happen this week.

1. No player has a right to a jersey or the jersey they want ala Hoffman, Reed and Glenn.

2. He needs a game plan that utilizes the flair in this side, unpredictability on top of good structures (which we have) is a premiership winning asset.

3. Loyalty to players is brilliant but it must not come at the expense of the team itself and this is what is happening with Hoffman and Glenn and Reed to lesser extents. Hoffman needs to return to the wing and if he doesn't like it, he is welcome to leave. Glenn needs to go to the bench and this demotion may wake him up. Reed gets told he's got one more week or he's gone. Use Oates!!! If we don't use him, another team will.

Good points, personally I have wanted a center pairing of Copley and Hodges, since Hodges returned. I reckon they could for a lethal combo.

I thought Glenn played pretty well last night? 16 runs for 153m is pretty bloody solid. Most any forward made.

It certainly could but we first need Hook to realise a multipronged attack and an offensive game plan does not mean defense has to suffer.

Copley has to be at centre. he was killing it there. Hodges does too much dummy half running instead of hitting holes like a centre should be. hook has no fucking idea how to*manage his roster
