Haha, I had a genuine laugh at picturing that.

P.S. Not that I disagree with you, but that might be wishful thinking...

Unfortunately I think your right

I'm a Griffin supporter but after last night I'm at breaking point. If it's back to business as usual (Reed back at centre) then that's it for me.

I don't care if Reed stays in ISC to work on his game (in particular learning that if you have a winger outside you - it might be a good idea to pass to him, especially if he's unmarked every once in a while) or is benched but Copley delivered the goods last night and deserves to stay there too.

I hope Maranta remains as well. Has improved massively this year - he's becoming safe as a bank.

As others have said, can't see it happening though.

Absolutely agree with you CaptainHook on you about Reed and Maranta, Reed at what you could regard as his best in recent years is solid at best, Copley is too good a player to be kept out of the centres where his definitely far more effective. As for Maranta his clearly overcome the severe lack of confidence he had from last season, his shown capable of handling those passes he would so easily drop and by far the best back this season under the highball and lets be honest this has been an area this season we have been so guilty of being sloppy, he also shows clear appreciation for playing first grade a trait well desired IMO, longterm I would probably think Hoffman is the better option but for now I definitely want Maranta there.

news through late this afternoon is that the deal is done for griff to go and bennett to return. Take it with a grain of salt if you like, but the mail is direct and sounds legit.

Gagai and Copley would be a good centre pairing once Hodges retires.

Funny I got bagged 3 months ago on here for saying Reed is hopeless and Copely should be playing in his preferred left centre position - but don't get used to it - Hookdumbo will bring Jack myboy back in and Copley back to the wing

I will say this right now - if the board does not give Hook the flick and bring Bennett back next year then I an not stumping up nearly $2k for 4 season member tickets next year - what a waste of money that will be

Dont know if I am alone on that thought but realistically right now and really for most of this season I have not cared either way if we won or lost as I am so disenchanted with the whole Hook/White/Gee/Board and how they treat the fans and members as jokes by dishing up excuses and stories but no substance to what they are saying or doing let alone direction

Well if Hook gets sacked for Bennett, he will be able to play his favourites (i.e. Reed) because he wont have to worry about his job.

anyway time for sleep. hopefully when i wake up in the morning, i'll find out it was all a bad dream. as the only thing worse than Hook keeping his job (that could realistically happen) is Bennett returning as head coach.

I could think of worse. Elliot becomes head coach.
