Season Opener: Broncos Vs. Cowboys - Match Thread

(would suggest Winters strained a Hammy setting up the last try of the first half when he stumbled)

Dr Russo gets it in one, just confirmed by Sterlo icon_thumbs_u . Also minor injuries to Locky (old age) and Falou a shoulder I think they said, but both will be ok for next week

Also loved the badge grab from Kemp. That try meant a lot to him. Welcome home son.

He loves it, we all loved it!! He had the worst year of his life last year and now he is back in Broncos colours gotta love it icon_thumbs_u Pride and Passion in the Jersey gotta love that.

Kemp fan, change your shitty signature. It's not right to have Kemp in a warriors jersey!

[icon_lol1. I will when I can be bothered!

Good performance considering the youth in the side. Sure we let them back into it but we had the composure to finish it off in the end. All the team looked good except Thaiday but that was probably just an off night for the big man. I thought Corey Parker was amazing he ran and tackled harder than I have seen in a long time.

Fanatsic win by the Broncos, alhough a concern to leak 24 points and make it closer then it should have been. Still Great to see Kemp back, that try just took me back in time. "SWEETT!!!"

Wonder if the atmosphere had something to do with you sitting with the real fans in the so-called outer Jeb and not the sandwich eating, chardonay sucking Western stand fans icon_thumbs_u

Would've been just as loud in the western stand. I think 48000 fans screaming their winger home would've sounded exactly the same 40 metres from where I was.

Has Kemp always been that quick? He looks much quicker this season...

I think I was quicker in my pants!!!! [/quote:fv04mvyf]

HAHAHAHA!

**** yeah broncs!!! im drunk yaaaaay

Brilliant game, and a great confidence boosting win for all the younger players. Agree with Jeb, the atmosphere at the stadium was up there with the best I've experienced at a Broncos' match. Was a rollercoaster of emotion. haha

Out of the newbies, I was impressed with Gillett and Andersen.

The defensive structure still needs a lot of work though - they seemed to panic a touch, running out of the line and such - but improvement will come in time. And Kemp's a champ, he makes great reads in defence, solid under bombs and looks dangerous every time he gets the ball.

I thought we played pretty well for the first game of the season (apart from the 16min period where we let in 4 tries)

Corey Norman was outstanding tonight. I think when he held up Bolton over the line was the turning point of the first half. before that the Cowboys were constantly attacking our line but failed to break it :D he also threw the last pass for 2 tries.

I thought Parker was good as well tonight especially in defense. and he slotted a couple of sideline conversions which it turns out we needed.

Anyone who says Locky has lost it, or is too old has NFI. he is still one of the best in the game. He never loses his cool and is able to sum up what is required and deliver it all in a split second.

our other two debutants also put in solid performances and Scott Anderson looks to have been a quality buy for us.

oh, and WELCOME HOME KEMP :D

Yep, Scott Anderson and Matt Gillett really impressed me off the bench - was a real difference the contrast in quality on both benches. Ours stood up, their's went backwards.

Impressed with Scotty Anderson aswell. Couple of tough forward - like runs. Great performance by Norman throughout the game. Gillett was amazing. Looking forward to seeing him play more often.

As much as i hate to say it, because I love this guy, but I think Sims is on the outer at this club:( Missing out on a spot and with impressive performances by Anderson and Gillett for the other prop spot alongside kenny.

In saying that, I think he can bounce back like he always has and reclaim a spot, even if it is just on the bench.
