I didn’t bring Bennett up, it’s pretty hard to have a discussion without mentioning him when as soon as I say something I get well Bennett blah blah. I respond in turn. And then someone else says something and all of a sudden snow flakes want me banned, it’s pretty funny.

You don’t have to respond. At least not in the defensive way you do, but unfortunately you have for too long and now the perception precedes anything you say. Just because you don’t bag out Bennett doesn’t mean you don’t still prefer him, and also it doesn’t need to be said every time.

You can have a discussion on the present with no callbacks. You can say Seibold is having a shit year/shit coach/shit bloke without referencing Wayne. And people can then say something about him, and then, you actually don’t need to defend him. We all know by now what your stance is, but it’s still a thing that derails every fucking thread.

We were going nowhere but backwards with Bennett. Pretty much went backwards every year. Had some god awful recruitment choices and it just wasn't working. We were not going to win a comp with Bennett. We needed a change. Whether Seibold is the answer or not, time will tell. But given the expensive long term salaries to people like Boyd, Gillett and Bird, I'm willing to give Seibold a year or two to get a roster he actually wants before I judge him.

I think that there are a number of us who believed that it was time for a change from WB, but are not sold on Seibold yet. I was a supporter of the change, and put my trust that they had undertaken a proper recruitment process and I was willing to support their choice.

I must admit I have some concerns on the basis of what occurred this season with team selections and selecting players out of position and the fact that we could not seem to get fundamental systems in place. I will await with interest to see how we go next year, if those issues do not improve, I think Seibold is under pressure.

I might be biased because this happens to be my exact position too but I think it’s the rational middle ground at the moment. Time will tell.
