what's the value of this comment? and conversely, if the lurker got it right, would you and others stfu about him never getting anything right? or would that be discounted as well?
So I have re-watched the first ten games of last season and Milfords attacking kicks aren't even close to being as good as Hunts. Hunt has set up plenty and Milford has found legs 3 times.
My take on it is if we can keep him for the right price, then keep him. I'm not sure he is worth pushing the boat out for however.
The rumors of hunt not being wanted beyond next season, don't seem to be going away. Not unlike the inglis rumors, but surely there is some substance to them .
For mine, I'd say that comes back to the fact that we made an offer to Taylor to return. That says to me that we were looking for another option so it's on the cards....but only for the right player. We aren't going to offload him for someone like Tyronne Roberts for example.

Probably doesn't like Bennett. If you're on his good side, or have a good personality, Bennett seems to have good relationships with them. Someone like Ash wouldn't have had much to do with Bennett, and probably got a bit mad when he was released to the Titans. Remember he was released before Elgey got injured... It just worked out for him that he got a full season in the halves without needing to worry about being dropped. This is what I find strange! It was said that when Taylor left , that he was basically on loan and would return. So why would he not take the offer to come back.
What concerns me is that Ash was widely known as one of the best half prospects coming through, and we chose to release him. Sure it ended up helping his development with his increased first grade play time, but now we have potentially lost him for good. The Titans aren't going to let him go anytime soon, and I have a strong suspicion that when push comes to shove, the Titans will get rid of Elgey instead of Taylor if they have to from salary cap pressure.
And when we released him we had just signed Milford on huge cash and we all know his ability now and potential is enormous, maybe more than almost anyone else in the game, so barring injury there is a starting half spot gone. The other starting half had just finished 4th overall in the Dally M's and should have won Dally M halfback of the year and had played tests for Australia and was starting to be seen as Qld and Australia's Thurston / Cronk heir-apparent.What concerns me is that Ash was widely known as one of the best half prospects coming through, and we chose to release him.
