Shoulder charge rule

Nah, he's gone. Complete and utter shambles if he gets off.

You can't compare his tackle to Ennis' at the judiciary, AFAIK, so he simply cannot be found not guilty.

How the **** was Ennis not charged again?

you just described the MRC and Judiciary ... Hell, you just described the NRL

There's no way he should get off. Plain-as-day shoulder charge. Bracing for impact doesn't cut it as an excuse any more, the NRL are serious about this stuff now.

So yeah, he'll get off.

Fingers crossed he doesn't get off. C'mon MRC do something right for once.

I'm sorry but that is flaming ridiculous.

They may as well just remove the shoulder charge rule if what Wighton just did was legal, because it was a textbook shoulder charge.

Absolute joke. I fully expect a clean-out of both the MRC and NRL judiciary post season.

They backed themselves in a corner.

MRC are a fucking joke and you can direct your anger at them for not charging Ennis which lead to this.

I actually hope the Raiders lose now, will make it sooooo much sweeter that they can't blame it on Wighton not being there.

Defense: In summing up. It's not a shoulder charge. It's the constitution, it's Mabo, it's justice, it's law, it's the vibe. Yeah that's it. It's the vibe. I rest my case.

What they did or didn't do to Ennis makes no difference and it should have had no bearing on Wighton's hearing.

That's the most ridiculous logic I have heard. "Oh yes your honour I did murder him, but there are plenty of murderers that have never been charged so you have no choice but to find me not guilty".
