lolI reckon Queensland should pick Ash Taylor at 7 and look to the future. Get him in now and reap huge benefits in 2-3 years.

Ash Taylor actually has a good kicking game.
I'm about as big of a fan of Ash as there is around here, but he's not ready.
His kicking game is great, but he still fails to get involved enough in the game and has virtually zero impact when they're not in the oppositions 20 metre zone, his defense is also shit. Needs a couple more years.
so much for him being this noble person who is willing to sacrifice the extra cash to play for Tonga ... although he would miss origin 2 due to Tonga having a match around that time.
wouldn't him playing for the Blues then mean that should he get selected he would be required to play for Australia over Tonga ... I thought the rule change was that you could represent your tier 2 nation if "not selected" for your tier 1 nation, without it affecting your eligibility ... not that you could play for a tier 2 nation and play origin (effectively turning down Australian selection)
I haven't seen the rule but apparently there is a loop hole which of course makes TPJ eligible for NSW as well.
Interesting though it may open the door to make Jason Taumololololo eligible for QLD.
If NSW go down this path it will make SoO a joke. It has to be a selection trial for Australia as Mal wants but Gould has been pushing this idea for years about picking Kiwis ( Benji ).
Now they are all declaring for their second tier nations you wonder if it's been a deliberate manipulation by some within the NswRL.
How is my tin foil hat fitting @Morkel.

Don't care about your tin foil hat, but I wonder if Kevvie knows that Taumo might be eligible for qld... be handy right now.I haven't seen the rule but apparently there is a loop hole which of course makes TPJ eligible for NSW as well.

not sure about that.. i think storm have a bye in round 13, so thats not part of his suspension.Curtis Scott is free to play Origin if he is selected.
He will only miss two games.
Nine news reporting QLD squad to be announced tonight. Holmes has been assured of the left wing by Walters last week and Gagai is a certainty for the right wing.
I guess aside from McCullough we are going to be unaffected.
QLD squad announced this early?
That's strange.
