In a break from tradition, the Queensland Maroons team for Game Three of the 2018 Holden State of Origin series will be officially and solely announced on QRL.com.au at 7pm this Sunday, July 1.
Coach Kevin Walters and Chairman of Selectors Gene Miles will then address media from 10am on Monday, July 2.
Game Three looms as the final State of Origin appearance for Billy Slater, who announced his pending representative retirement earlier this series.
On Tuesday the Maroons will travel to Hervey Bay for the Fraser Coast Fan Day, free to all members of the public.
Maroon Member packages are available for purchase for Game Three, to be held at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, July 11.

Not worst result, wasn’t going to play fullback need to give Slater his finale. Would have been nice to get another game for experience but series is lost and need to sort out rest of the spine including utility sub.

Need forwards to protect Taylor and Milf in defence. Hunt should be ok - should be solid if middle forwards can hold their own and Slater organising from behind.

I think he's a great young player but the coverage of him is so over the top.

Could live with that happily if Macca only plays 30 at hooker then 20 as tackling lock/dual hooker then off. None of this conserving energy bulls*** in attack that he does normally.

But changing both halves will be too radical for Kevvie and admitting he screwed up with Hunt and sacking chambers. But with Slater there best time to test new 6,7 combo. Munster’s side of defence could be worry too with both those halves.

That’s the question which hopefully will be answered largely before next origin series. Second year syndrome and everyone will be doing a ton of video on him between now and round 1.
